Wow amazing, here is an HD-documentary about the one in Mexic, how it was formed and the research for life and conditions that can only be found on other planets. Interesting.

What exactly are they crystals in the caves? they just can't all be your typical quartz.

I wrote a poem a few years back regarding the crystal caverns on our planet:

Crystal Song

Sacred space of resonant sound
Where ancient math is all around
Caverns pulsing deep within
Kept from sight of mortal men

Purest music reverbs forth
Vibrating our Earthen core
Sites that spread both far and wide
Singing hushed notes as they hide

Galactic life force, torsion tides
Stored with them, deep inside
Binaural rhythms beating strong
Sync with our soul's inner song

Safe and sound these giants sleep
Where men dare not enter the deep
Their purpose here, to bring forth life
Disturb them and you'll cause great strife

To know where each dark cavern lies
Would cause all Earthly life to die
For power-hungry men still seek
