I've been using both the Android and iPhone version a lot today, and simply am not getting this. And I've got the iPhone in "debug" mode so I can trace the source… just in case.

Is there anything unique (non-US?) about you two?

And, judging by his location indication, Stormdancer777 looks to be in Australia. I have a legal Australian proxy, I'll try going through that.

In the mean time, our new mobile ad provider recently supplied the code… so we got that going for us too.

no nothing unique, it was happening occasionally during the summer, but never happened on my tablet or desk top, so I guess I could try my phone again to see if anything has changed.

When using iPad or iPhone to view ATS, it keeps opening my App Store for William Hill (betting shop in UK) and I don't gamble? Only been happening for the last few weeks

Either these people installed an app which changes the ads, or they accidentally, unknowingly installed malware on their device. Use a malware scanner to find and isolate the bad programs.
