Well....my guess is some issue with the camera since it doesn't move for almost 2 hours according to the time stamps.

If you are talking about the upper left corner. Given the brightness and position that would be the planet Venus...

Then we should watch it transit the sun then. I googled images of venus and soho and i have never seen it so bright or in that particular part of other soho images.

NO that transit was in 2012 I used it as a reference to show you were it would be on the LASCO image typically.

NOPE!

Comet tails always point away from the Sun because of the solar wind. So the OP by stating it is pointing toward the sun is wrong. No matter which direction a comet would be incoming toward the sun its tail would be pointing away, even when leaving the inner solar system the tail still points with the direction of the solar wind...away from the sun!
