Username Change Proposal

The title is self explanatory.

I did a search on this, and found something on it. I think that we need to go beyond just changing it, it has to be a big deal and cost lots of points. If we put it in the ATS store and set the price at 10000 points (or something like that) they could buy it. Then, in their mini-profile, the server would automatically put a small note under their name saying "Previously (whomever)".

I hope SimonGray sees this.

Sorry, not possible. The nature of the original code base (XMB) makes altering usernames very difficult, as they are a database "primary key" in two tables. While it is possible to create code that will alter all occurrences of a username, our database is so large (backups exceed 1gig) that such a script may "time out" leaving unpredictable errors and other problems. So this option simply will never appear on ATS.
