Guys, those are all very cool. The winner was the first one. I don't know how, but it fits the exact energy I wanted. The rest are a bit more symbolic than I like to go for. I think I have to give second place to well no I can't pick.

I wanted to say bigfurrytexan's was second, but looking at the others they are good too. As for Cody I like the one without the Red cross better.

First/second/third...the point is we all had a chance to make something (which is why we are here...we like doing that), and you walked away with what you wanted. And a few choices should the mood ever strike you.

Thank you, I didn't know this was a competition.

Here is a conversation my husband and I had while I was creating this avatar and he was watching one of his tv series.

Him: What are you doing?
Me: I'm looking for a romantic knight near a lake at night, but can't find one.
Him: Why?
Me: I'm creating an avatar for an ATS member.
Him: Are you getting payed for this?
Me:Nope
Him:Then why are you doing it?
Me: It's for fun, and it's relaxing.
Him: Then why have you been cursing the last half hour?
Me: I can't find a moon nice enough to go with the stars I painted.

There is an ATS treatment centre somewhere.

If memory serves, they tell you something and if you don't say "pics or it didn't happen"

You get day release.

The search for the right image or the right parts of the image to me is half the fun. You really have to get creative searching for the right bits to make the av sometimes.

In addition when someone wants something specific, you sometimes have to do a bit of serious research to get it right. We had one member wanted a specific Egyptian god in his av, another wanted Snowy Owls. I had to do the extra research, not just searching for images to make sure it wound up the right image. Satisfying though, I love learning about new stuff and then getting to create something unique using that knowledge.

I think the weirdest search I ever did was a 'manly rainbow.' It certainly yielded some odd results...

I have to agree

Looking for images sidetracks me into a myriad of knowledge of other cultures and history.

This thread has enriched my life, and for that I will be be eternally grateful.
