Hey OM! How are you doing and what are you working on?

I decided to make a crystal ball for the girl i spent about 6 hours creating - I'm doing a celtic woman in the forest type of design, and thought about having her hold a crystal ball... I don't know why.. just a mood. (My husband says I should have just nabbed a picture of someone in renaissance costume, but I wanted something uniquely mine.. so I made her from scratch.. lol..)

Anyway.... So... I made by first glass ball! Here is how it came out:



I think it's going well... and I have also learned how to put objects inside of the ball (using the snow globe tutorial), so I am going to make a crystal ball as soon as I get the lighting effects right! It's a work in progress, but in the meantime... I made a snow globe with the Celtic girl in it!



I think she came out beautiful! The dress is from Handmade by Kathleen, and she said, quote:

"I created this "period perfect" costume when I was the costumer for the Marian Madrigal Singers"

So the dress is awesome! Same with the girl!

It's official toe is broken and the end of it has exploded, and the nail cut in half, we officially have an ouchie LOL

Maybe I should have taken the day off, but glad I didn't, ended up missing the Rosetta landing live and I'm gutted.

Apart from that, been a really good if somewhat painful day.

I've been looking at the pictures taken of the surface of the comet from Philae. They are amazing.

Nothing to do but wait for it to mend, it's OK I can walk and work and make Mrs C tea in the morning, so the important things are covered

She came through wondering where her morning tea was ......................... the kitchen looked like a murder scene LOL. Mrs C made her own tea whilst I mopped up the blood.

you know... it's amazingly hilarious to be making all manner of balls - metal balls - copper balls and now glass balls - but not only making them.. its more hilarious to be so utterly thrilled that I can!

This is an FYI if you wanted... I saved that first glass ball in png format... that means, that you can add it to any photo you want to use it in... it is just that, a transparent glass ball - so its something that if you ever find you have a use for in a design your doing, just place it into your photo.

It looks more like glass in a picture than it does alone!

maybe make marvin and k9 a little smaller so its not so pixialted.
