Basically, yes. Now your customers could go elsewhere or ignore you. But it would those customers that would be looking for punitive actions against you.

No during work, or in the public eye there is no reason to act like that because you are working with the public and common decency should tell you that it's not acceptable. Just as it's not acceptable for Phil to say it on DD but in an interview that was asked about his beliefs than he has a right to discuss if he so chooses, which he shouldn't have knowing while it was nothing wrong with his beliefs that he actually went against the contract by stating them so common sense again.

Yes they should be of the mindset words can never hurt me, but they'll use it regardless if it does or doesn't hurt them to move their own agenda forward. And everyone has an agenda behind every action. I truly believe that.

The point is if you're caring enough and not a dumb A** you won't use words like that and the ones who do not have common decency will be ostracized and jobless if true free speech took precedence. I say let it be.

the info on GLAAD I got from A&E. THEY stated that after they got the call from GLAAD, they (A&E) suspended Phil.

Societal norms suggest you cant go around calling your own damn customers names and not expect to get canned for it. Paint it however you want Phil Robertsons motivation was fulfilling his mission to plant seeds and bring awareness to sin which is what he has come to know it as. He believed he was doing a good thing therefore it was done out of good will. Agree, disagree that will be camp Robertsons position and no one will ever be able to prove the contrary.

A&E doesnt like the nightly prayer, A&E would like you to believe they cuss and now A&E has shown a disdain for Phils good intentions... PERIOD!


if anything perhaps A&E has a problem that this family didn't turn out to be a bunch of country bumpkins but some damn fine devout Christians with moral values... And guess what - somebody out there liked it because it is the highest rated reality TV show in the history of reality TV.

Actually you wouldnt be fired for what you said you would be fired for poor customer service. The owner expects you to represent him and his business appropriately while at work.The question is does your actions outside of work be treated the same?

Almost every evangelical preacher on the planet has one of those. He's repeating his leaders' garble...par for the course for almost all Christians. So what, he's being pinned while all the evangelicals still are aired on my TV?? They are aired as sermon every Sunday somewhere on some channel probably owned by Hearst and Disney. What's the difference?

Well honestly I've seen mega evangelists like Baker and the likes throughout the years saying the very same rants over the TV on Sundays. The part about Hearst and Disney being the networks is just a joke. Apparently you didn't get that.

I already covered that other thing. Because a news station radio said it was for fear of the FCC coming after A&E and that's the only report I ever heard so excuse me. And the fact I really don't care about the show itself to bother reading/watching a bunch of news sources about it.
