Its worth mentioning not only does he believe this, he also believes that making people aware of their sins could help lead them to their salvation and I am not elaborating on that one - suffice it to say his comments however misunderstood were made out of good will.

This old hick is deeper than you might realize or believe.

And that is not what I believe however, I don't think he should be nailed for saying it...it's honestly what he believes and I don't I don't believe in salvation nor the need for it. But that's not given me the right to cry to the media about his beliefs. I believe a lot of unpopular stuff I couldn't imagine what would happen if the witch hunts came back (I would be hanged or burned at the stake!) Just for believing in a nature based religion and magical healing.

Unfortunately he did enter into the contract though regardless of it being an actual purposeful way to hang him and anyone who agrees to such a contract.

It's my opinion that while holding a public position you can and should be fired for sharing views that are widely unpopular.

What I did hear he say was what he thinks the Bible says about the act...of homosexuality which is one based on his interpretation and beliefs and two, millions of others' beliefs and interpretations but he did not call names. Well to me I agree with you, but a very large majority of the population doesn't have that line of thinking. So in a way I say pejorative, abusive and racist and obscene language should be limited only because there are others that are offended by it, but then you're right that's another slippery slope too. Language is funny that way. Although I'm of the mind words can never hurt me, not everyone is although that is how people should look at it, as long as physical abuse doesn't follow.But keeping it off the public airways should be procedure, as it does cause other issues as in breeding the same thought patterns. It's hard to say...Personally I believe that people should be allowed to say whatever whenever without crybabies nailing them to the cross for it.

I haven't got the answers but in the honor of civility some things you have to understand should be kept to yourself but if you don't have that common sense yes you should say whatever like Beezer says so that everyone knows who the dumb people are and can avoid them.

That's the exact thing i was thinking - He does not believe he has said anything offensive - quite to the contrary. He has a mission to plant seeds - it goes well above any contract. He used the venue of this magazine to plant seeds. His offense is others misunderstanding,
