This photo:
googly eye santa (3rd pic in OP)

reminds me very much of Young Frankenstein's Igor ... mixed with a bit of Back to the Future's Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd).

There are a couple Santas in there I wouldn't turn my back to with a pair of scissors to wrap presents sitting in the same room, let alone hand my child to. lol...

If you dress up as old Saint Nick and you're reminded how well it can double for a Halloween Costume? ....Santa isn't your thing, obviously.

Just my thoughts on a little litmus test for prospective Santas.

Wow those are really quite disturbing..poor kids! lol
Personally ive always thought the whole idea of santa, some very large, drunk guy breaking into your house in the middle of the night for any reason is a disturbing little tradition!

>>>The Krampus is gaining in popularity which is cool. But the tradition carried over here along with Black Peter. The one I'm familiar with is " The Belshnickle". My grandmother told me stories how the family would get a friend or an uncle and he'd appear as sort of a dark version of Santa Claus. He'd have the beard and a dirty face and be dressed in furs or old clothes and would mete out punishment to kids who had been bad. She said he tossed peanuts on the floor and when she went to pick them up he hit her with a switch. Then he'd have a drink provided by the father and would get more nasty the more liquored up he got as he travelled around from house to house. Parents were hard on their kids back then but it was all in good fun. Yeah, right.
