This time of year always brings back childhood memories of holidays past. I cannot imagine a Christmas at any time in my childhood, or even now, sharing it with my own children, where I didn't anxiously await the arrival of this big guy just as much as Santa Claus himself...

Staff can post avatars as they wish in the contests...but I think the feeling is that it might look biased if a staff member won.
OTOH....why not?
Should a moderator win, it would be honorary....no prizes awarded and the next highest vote getter would get the prize.

Sorry, no.
All the entries marked as official get their stars counted at the end of the contest....the rest can get starred....but don't count for the contest.
The top starred entries get applause prizes.
