Here you go ATS...

blackfridaydeathcount.com...

More fodder for your bashing of consumerism that you carry out from your IPad.

Not nearly as many people dead as I would suspect.

I think this all says more about the state of people in society today than it does about consumerism in general.

It's all about "I", "Me" and "Mine" and to hell with everybody else.
Almost a feverish, sub level of insanity.
They don't see others as human.

I don't go anywhere on Black Friday.

Those people make my skin crawl.

First of all, I will never own an IPad. or any Apple product for that matter.

Second, somehow I think this is incorrect, because i remember hearing about at leas a couple of deaths last year and a whole heck of a lot more injuries. If I remember correctly one death was o an Unborn, after the mother was trampled. Maybe they don't report deaths of the unborn?

I wouldn't even leave my house today if I didn't have to get cat food.

Now that is sad thing to know about.

Amazing what mass consumerism does to people one day a year eh? Boxing Day will be just as bad I assume.

People who go out to the stores on black Friday might be dead to reality. Can't they see that materialism's tool is consumerism? I suppose I am one to complain, I have just about everything you can think of. My stuff may may not be new but they can still do the job. I was a good consumer years ago, I supported the system back then. But now I awoke.

Thats it? I wonder if they count the traffic wrecks getting to and from their favorite Stuff Depot?

Or the mayhem that results when the bills arrive dated today.

Bashing consumers with high prices…

Any results on how much money people are spending?

LOL, thankfully I am going to a tiny mom and pop store, should be pretty quiet there. It's the traffic I am dreading. My fault, I should have gotten it several days ago, as they were closed yesterday and the day before.
It's the traffic I am dreading. At least I will be far away from Wal-mart. I'll grab the cat food, get out and hurry home. Maybe take some back roads.

We shall be the firstest with the mostest and it shall all be the very bestest!

...no matter how many people we must injure or kill in the process. Why?

Because we are CONSUMERS!! We have the RIGHT to our sale items! Just try and challenge the masses on Black Friday!

Sad...isn't it?

Such a true statement. I'm strongly considering specialization in proctology due to the astonishing number of people in this world who need to find their heads- be it Black Friday shoppers or those with a false sense of superiority.

This nonsense is like a disease or plague. My fiancée, who is about as anti-materialism and shopping as a human can get, talked me into finishing dinner early so she could go shopping. To get her to do the holiday shopping in years past was neigh on impossible. She's come down with this sickness now too, and I'm at a loss for a cure (outside of being flat broke).

Heya Santa! Your namesake was out spreading the good cheer against consumerism and how it's come to turning every aspect of the holidays into for-profit enterprises.
