i'm not buying that one... How come until about 1/2 hour ago, all the cameras STEREO / LASCO etc where piking the comet and now SDO doesn't pick it up, because of molecules config... again, i don't believe in that.

I'm interested to see the people that were convinced it was anything other than a comet explain this one.

My top 3 bets for "explanations":
1.) The ship was recalled back to the home planet.
2.) It used a trans-dimensional gateway hidden around the sun somewhere.
3.) It cloaked.

I'm betting we'll hear a lot of #3 tossed around.

And that NASA livestream isn't that promising right now, I think we might have to start saying goodbye to our icy buddy

What about the old Star Trek idea? Did they use the gravity to break the warp 10 barrier and go back in time to get a Plesiosaur?

That's what I'm waiting for. ISON has surprised and baffled a lot of people and maybe it still can. It's pretty intense at this point. Come on ISON

Was worried your phone died on you there cheesy, would be a shame for you to not know what's going on given how passionate you are with ISON. It's certainly getting to me today.

See: Elenin

In other words, pretend it never happened and then in a few months time, when another comet of interest pops up, rinse and repeat.

so what have we learned...?

NASA can't use a stream properly.
NASA can't afford a real microphone.
NASA invests in apple earphones.
NASA uses firefox.
Java crashes at NASA.
NASA moved the SDO to show us nothing.
ISON seem's to be gone.
NASA gave us 1 (one) picture of the whole event in parahelion.
NASA Sucks.
NASA should be de-funded.

What an anticlimax.

That trajectory didn't look like a grazer but a kamikaze. The Sun added .0000001 to it's mass for it's Thanksgiving Dinner.

I wish it would stop doing that... It'd be nice to see one of these for a change. They're supposed to be petty neat once in awhile. It just isn't very impressive as a Sun-Snack.

Here's the latest STEREO image. Since it's low-res I don't want to speculate.

Cheesy?

Had to come back, saw new pick and if you look at the upper left of the pic there is something covered up.

Stop and

the love

so far s

earth?

Anybody make anything out of that? The pic covers the rest of the wording so I do hope the ending don't mean it broke apart and coming to earth! Could be more lights tonight!

Peace

That's what you call an anti-climax. Expected to see it slingshot around the sun or see the trails of evaporation, but... nothing!

Hopefully ISON has some sort of surprise in store and somehow shows up again.

Believe it or not, but not so long ago the members here knew exactly that NASA is nothing but a front for the sheeple and tell us actually nothing.

I'm surprised that it still gets some love around here.

There is no proof whatsoever that ISON is dead as of yet. ~$heopleNation
