The Apple Laptop

How come every movie or tv show has to zoom in on that apple logo on the back of the screen? Why are they shoving that apple down our throats?

Coke, Nike, Pepsi, Apple, the list goes on...

... and 'creative' people (like writers & actors) like them because they are prettier than those other ugly, utilitarian devices.

Right but every movie or tv show with a computer, its an apple, and they zoom in on the logo.

They had Dell laptops in Stargate SG1. Sam always lugged hers around.

Why didnt they have tablets I wonder. They had stargates and spaceships...

They also "advertise" drugs and alcohol, cigarettes, police, crime, guns and murder.

I won't get into how we are supposed to behave.

It's not new, either? It's like.. as old as tv.

Have a gander with the GOOGLE search engine, the best search engine on the internet - why it's the one I use because it always returns relevant and informative results and I just love the friendly nature of the company, oh arent they just wholesome and the best?

Well they do look better generally. Highly recognizable brand. Like someone else said creative types use them more frequently. I don't know anything about props but I would assume it's easier to make a bunch of one type than a ton of different ones, cheaper too. So if they're aware an Apple laptop is going to be asked for more frequently, why not just all the props Apple?

I don't know if APple is paying for the product placement. I would think some of the time yes. Same thing with guns when you think about it though. Always a Glock. Easy/recognizable.

Ahhaha I never thought of it that way. Alienware. Nice.

Was my fav. sci-fi show too. So many good stories.. so many good .. 'states of mind to watch it in' back in those days.
