Al Gore, the former US vice president, could become the world's first carbon billionaire after investing heavily in green energy companies.
Few people have been as vocal about the urgency of global warming and the need to reinvent the way the world produces and consumes energy as Mr Gore. And few have put as much money behind their advocacy and are as well positioned to profit from this green transformation, if and when it comes.

Reports are that Al Gores carbon credit scam; man made global warming scam; and connections with the US Government are paying off in a big way for him. These reports say he could quickly become a Carbon Billionaire. I'm sure the $100 million sale of his TV station to Al Jazeera is included in that estimate. The reports aren't that he's already a billionaire, but that could become one and most of it through his carbon and green push.

HOWEVER ... according to CBS and Bloomberg... Gore is worth 'Only' $200 Million.
CBS News - Al Gores Net Worth at 200 Million

So ... is this a matter of him investing smart ??
Or is this a matter of him pulling a scam and making $$$ off a CON ??

When Gore threw Keith Obermann under the bus, then backed it up over him before being forced to throw KO's salary out the window for Keith to gobble up, he lost me for good. Used to think he had something going, now nothing about him surprises me. Al Gore, the man who lost it all (by not winning his home state or by asking for a full Florida recount and not a selective recount - idiot).

Didn't he buy a mansion on the beach somewhere in the last few years? Why would he do that if sea levels are about to rise precipitously? That never added up to me.
How inconvenient is this news? Former vice president Al Gore and his wife, Tipper, bought a gated $8,875,000 ocean-view villa in Montecito, Calif., where Oprah Winfrey also owns a mansion, the Los Angeles Times reports.
The Huffington Post carries photos of the villa on 1.5 acres with wine cellar, terraces, six fireplaces, five bedrooms and nine bathrooms. It picked them up from the Real Estalker website, which says the Gores actually bought the property last year through their Tennessee-based trust and did not use their own names.
Montecito, located in Santa Barbara County about 100 miles north of Los Angeles, offers stunning hilltop views of the Pacific Ocean. It's one of the wealthiest communities in the United States, and many celebrities have homes there, including actors Michael Douglas and Chritopher Lloyd.
