U.S. should copy Switzerland and consider a 'maximum wage' ratio, too

The biggest redistribution of wealth in human history has actually been from the poor to the rich during the bailouts and quantitative easing.

Like I said, some people spend too much time counting other peoples money.

There is no other peoples' money.

The scumbag rich all get rich by printing themselves money. Or from money other scumbag rich printed for them.

All people who get rich do so on the back of the printing presses.

First for me it is greed, greed is ruining our country. Why is it OK for ceo to make gazillions but when you want to talk about our pathetic minimum wage people come out of the woodwork to attack.

It is insanity. Like Walmart telling folks to give food to other employees all the while making insane profits and paying the top insane salaries. Why not take little less and pay them enough they can buy it for themselves.

See this is what we should be taking about. We as the people can force change, our representatives will never do it.

I would back this up 100% IF:

Maximum tax tables were only 12 times higher than the lowest tax table

AND

An Ivy league education had the tuition capped at 12 times the cost of a GED

You want more money? Get the training and skills required to make more money.

I am 40 years old. I have turned down three jobs in the last two months that pay 200K+ per year. I live off my retirements and have no desire to work more so I can earn more so my government can take it and give it away to non-workers.

People earn their money whether you agree or not. You don't like corporate welfare and I do not like societal parasites. You want to see salary caps and I want to see EBT replaced with food allowances. We all have our ideas on what needs to change. Every change the liberals have envisioned in the last 100 years has led us to where we are today.

Unsympathetic
If I spend my life founding my own business

Funny.....Most that have the most riddulucas wage divides normaly never did, they just inherited the buisness or its some large faceless cooperation.

On the otherhand those that do spend there lifes working there way up tend to pay ok wages.

Funny though a multi billion doller compnay like coca cola pays its employee damed good wages just those at the top still earn billions.......Can be done.

Dunno if I like the idea of a wage cap, but im intrested in seeing the results.

It's really very simple

What this all boils down to is this

Some people want what other people have without working to get it

See?

Simple

The problem is when people work work work work and work and still have nothing to show for it.

Thats when the problem sets in

Forced wealth distrabution is probably not the awsner. But somethings broken at the moment.
Maybe more compitition would sort it.

Im sorry, why do you people care what other people make? if you dont like it, start your own company. come up with your own idea and run with it. If you hate Big Oil and there CEO "fat cats" stop buying gas.

if the people dont like there wages at walmart, they can get another job. If they cant get another job, maybe its because they have no Marketable skill. this would then awnser the question as to why they work at walmart.

I would never pay someone $15 to load a shelf all day. :-(

At some point something is going to happen. The days a of person being able to support a familiy working at store or factory or many other places are long gone. We know for a fact the gap between the super rich and everybody else is gets worse every year. We see the super rich do whatever they want and get away with it. We see the CEOs of companies making more in a day than most of their workers do in 5 years. We see most companies doing whatever they can to pay less no matter how it effects their employees. Unlike so many other things people complain about, this one has been on a slow boil for awhile and it is only getting worse. This is something that effects a big majority of the population. And while the goverment making such a law makes me squimish I doubt companies are going to it on thier own. And so at some point their will be a huge blow back on the very rich. We have been close to it in the last couple years. It is only going to take that one story that puts people over the edge and small group of people supported by the masses are going to take violent action. Anyone who knows me here knows I do not buy into to hyperbowl but, this is something I see as inevitable if something is not done. What and how it is done I do not know.

Brush aside the fact that those banksters PLAYED the system, misled the 'borrowers', and packaged those mortgages in a way to exploit people's wish to be included in 'the American Dream.'

Why would they wake up one day and do such a thing? Knowing they would lose fortunes and it would end up putting hundreds of thousands out of work and out of their homes?

Because they were forced to, by penalty of law and the promise by your elected komrades that they would be bailed out by the taxpayers.

Which is exactly what happened. Now, that's Progressive.

Remember, kids:

Leftists break things for the purpose of declaring themselves the only ones capable of fixing the mess they made.

Knowing they would lose fortunes

Last I checked the ones at the top ended up with millions. It was the middle down that paid the price.

and it would end up putting hundreds of thousands out of work and out of their homes?

Cause they dont give a flying F ?

Im sick of hearing people talking about socialism. Please stop bring this word into the conversation.

The real issue here is that there is massive wealth inequality thats making this world Heavenly for a VERY small amount of people and literal hell for others.

I dont care if you think you worked really hard to build a business from the bottom up that doesnt give you the right to enslave everyone who works for you and to make the economy top heavy putting millions of people into poverty.

Some of you make me sick.

You forgot the important bit, didn't you? They were Forced by Penalty of Law to do so.

And they were bailed out handsomely by taxpayers, both courtesy of one particular side of the aisle.

Can you guess which? Who doesn't give a flying F, again?

The same folks who's law resulted in 5 million folks with cancelled insurance policies, many of which are in chemo treatment for cancer.

Slaves are forced, you know, like how all leftist laws and policies are mandatory, like being forced to buy a product or be fined (and imprisoned if you resist) just for the simple fact you exist.

Employees are free to leave employment and find it elsewhere.

Control the language....

You forgot the important bit, didn't you? They were Forced by Penalty of Law to do so.

And what was that "law", in the beginning? In the early 2000s late 1990s? It was that banks were required to make loans to people who lived IN THE ZIP CODE where they accepted deposits.

All they were doing was taking in deposits; they were refusing loans to the people who were MAKING those deposits. So, the fed gov required them to offer a small percentage of their "loan funds" to people who lived in the neighborhoods.

Then, the bankers got together and decided how they could use that 'regulation' to exploit undereducated, eager buyers, and build "hedge funds" of mortgages they KNEW would go nowhere....

THAT is when the marketing started in. I was fortunate enough to get a loan under those 'rules' when I was a single mom. It was EIGHT YEARS LATER that those same mortgage ers had accumulated enough "contracts" to start their scam.

I have NEVER missed a payment.

Do your homework.

Leftist ideas.... so good They're Mandatory!

How is it the leftist utopia can only be realised by compelling free people, by force and penalty of law, to do what some clueless politician thinks is 'right'?

No im not on the left and its got nothing to do with the word socialism.

What it has to do is with what people think about socialism and thats why your using it.

If you want to use the word socialism then describe what it means when you use it instead of throwing it out there.
