Well, we have some new images and they offer a new look at the attack on the Benghazi Diplomatic Compound which killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and others on Sept 11, 2012.

Benghazi Compound Photographs / Post-Attack

It's set up in a slideshow format with 11 new images.

A few of them I found quite helpful when compared next to the existing set still held online by the House of Representatives (Full Photoset here)

.....Or the set Cryptome had out within a short time of the attack (Crypt Photo Series 1) and (Crypt Photo Series 2)

Looks like this story has a ways yet to go. There are also updated time lines and reports of the event, published earlier this month. I'll leave the reporting data to others, as it's the photographic evidence and what it shows or doesn't show here I came to share.

If nothing else, this gives another very good look inside to see what was and what was not there for space and room in storage of ..whatever some claim this may have been about. The place was thoroughly gutted though. No real question there.

*Warning. Cryptome Series 1 DOES have the now infamous media/MSM photos of the body in the street. Skip that one if the image carried far and wide bothers anyone.

Thanks for the collection of links wrabbit! I'm extremely disgusted/saddened/not surprised to see that it still states in some of the slides that the attack was based on a obscure internet video that made fun of Mohammad. As soon as I was told that by the media my spider senses began to tingle uncontrollably --- took nearly an hour but i was finally able to coerce myself to even entertaining that notion in my mind.. definitely was terror groups surfing that gosh darn youtube from their tech center in a war-torn Libya looking for cat videos and twerking clips only to stumble across some anti-islam video which set them into a rage on September 11th

yeeeeeeeeeeeeep!

Hopefully one day we'll be told what REALLY happened, and why!

pffft. Please.
Doesn't your own house look like this when you grumpy over a YouTube video?

Seriously though - it's so abundantly clear to anyone who bothers to look that the true story of Benghazi hasn't been told. News reports have surfaced even in the past week suggesting that the attack was not only well coordinated, but almost military in style and capability - and that the attackers had significant knowledge of the workings of the government post there - knowledge that they should not have been able to obtain.

The frustrating thing is, the world will see all of this, Hillary and Barack will do their usual obfuscation ("Well... I found out about... uh... these things... uh... at the same time you folks did... on the news."), and everybody will sigh, roll their eyes, and then move on with their lives.

The government was designed to be accountable to the people.
...whatever happened to that?

Lol, I hate photo's like that, I mean that could be anywhere. And honestly I doubt the US embassy would look that dull. Also i'm counting one burned vehicle... One... Here in Belgium the American embassy is the only one sticking out... Barbed wire, bunker'esque looking look (see what I did there). You would expect that an embassy in such a country would be more... equipped lol.

Also i know that isn't your choice of a title, as it's the exact title of the article provided but wow those reporters call those pictures shocking? Hope they haven't been watching the tornado devastation going on in the midwest....now THAT IS SHOCKING!

As the above poster mentioned that place does look awfully unsecure for an embassy & in all honesty reminds me of a vacation villa and i assume the "security" was similar to that of a low class vacation spot. Weren't they aware of their location -- Libya, not Chicago

*not sure if they would be safer in Chicago due to the on-going gun crimes

Well, although everyone keeps referring to it as an "embassy," it's actually what's known as a "diplomatic mission."

I remember when first hearing the news, I started looking for details on the internet. Everybody was yelling: "We don't even have an embassy in Benghazi!"

This was an outpost. A dangerous outpost. And something other than an Consular Corps Ambassador's Ball was going on....

I see, I did not know that. but If it wasn't an embassy then it wasn't technically on US soil?

The media sure is making a giant stink about this Benghazi incident.

The US along with NATO just got done bombing the people of Libya via 20,000 sorties. The before and after pics of the carnage and devastation are staggering.

Yet, the outrage in the media is over the death of two Americans?

All loss of life is regrettable but come on.

Once again, upside down world is presented as normal.

Sadly those behind the real Benghazi issue will never be brought to justice and the crap is still been sweep under the carpet.

Yes, names like Valerie Jarrett, Hillary Clinton, Panetta and Martin Dempsey, should all be charge for treason, still you will only see them raising to more positions of power because in America if you are link to power you get rewarded.

Thank you. Many people are fond of changing their avatars. I like mine as it is.

According to Wikipedia:

Wikipedia: Diplomatic Mission
Contrary to popular belief, diplomatic missions do not enjoy full extraterritorial status and are not sovereign territory of the represented state. Rather, the premises of diplomatic missions remain under the jurisdiction of the host state while being afforded special privileges (such as immunity from most local laws) by the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations....

So, technically, this was not an attack on US soil....

Thanks, Marg, for keeping this in perspective. The same scoundrels are indeed responsible for all those deaths, and some day I hope to see them all in the dock for their crimes against humanity. If I can possibly manage it, I'll be right up front in the hecklers' row....

You're exactly right. It was far closer to a Consulate or Embassy Annex compound. I couldn't find these through the college network, without all my bookmarks but I have them to add now. The following link you may already be familiar with, but it's the Document dump through Issa's committee of the reports, communications/cables between Benghazi-Tripoli-Washington for the months leading up to the attack as well as general security reports of Benghazi and the compound itself.

U.S. House of Representatives Benghazi Investigation Document Dump (US House URL)

That package also has the complete and detailed report of the previous terrorist attack on the compound where the side wall was blown out and recorded dutifully by the locals working security ....because they stood there and watched it planted without effort to interfere or stop it. Just as their included report indicates. Same goons that were 'protecting' the Ambassador the night he was murdered.

If you hadn't gotten a chance to see that collection, it takes a bit to get through, but it's all Government source documents and a whole lot the media ..err..ooops... forgets to mention about why it's such an important event to get nailed down and settled for who screwed up and why, IMO.

Whoa! You're right: That's a lot to get through.

Fascinating stuff, though....
