Thank you for helping me gain some insight into what some people think.

Of course, you will be refraining from using any and all technology, inventions, art, or any other contribution that comes from the lower brackets right? It would seem to equate to the same form of theft as you seem to "buy" into, and that might be seen as quite hypocritical.

I see more disabled people working then ever before.

There is disabled, which the amount of people filing for this has skyrocketed under 0bama's leadership, and those that can't work. 2 different things.

only if we are all equal under the godhead. a person should try to keep a garden so with my government handouts i buy tomato plants and potatoes in the summer and will be getting my hunting liscense in january. until then i'll have to buy stuff until i get into the woods. are people on the dole all the same welfare queens having a seperate/ shopping cart for their stomach? we starve sometimes too they give us crap in my state so i still have to work under the radar to maintain. should people on the dole be allowed to hunt and fish? and when we fish is it in clean water? what about people who genuinely can't work? do they just get flower with sawdust filling like in wwII era germany?

No disability should not be "easy" to get. I agree with you there.

It should only be given if you really are incapable of work. I mean there are some disabled people I know who would LOVE to work but no employer will touch as they are too much a liability or they cant get out of bed or they cant even feed themselfs.

Thats who should get the help.

This "I got mine, screw anyone/everyone else" attitude is what is ruining this country. Personal greed and an utter lack of compassion for our fellow man is holding us back.

I don't think we should "eat the rich" .... but I also don't think we should leave the poor to die a cold and hungry death.

As I've said before, we should have special grocery stores for people on food stamps. The only payment accepted would be food stamps. Only the bare essentials would be carried. Staples like milk, eggs, bread, cheese, cold cuts, sugar, flour, spices, ect ect.

So every year when you file your taxes, do you feel you are being stolen from?

I mean, I suppose we could go to a "pay for what you use" system instead of an income tax. I wonder how well that would work though. I can see it now,

"I'm sorry sir, but the fire department won't be coming. It says here you didn't pay your fire department fee this month. We can still send an ambulance, however, it does indicate you paid for EMT coverage".

I just brought back some WW2 medals to veteran affairs today so they get back to where they should be.

By your logic...that was not my responcibility.
You being a military man should know....you do have to think of the guy next to you.

The fact that people are having trouble feeding themselves should make you angry and WANT to do something about it.
People shouldn't be starving at all in a 1st world country.

While you are trying to be specific you're really taking the argument out of context so you can cherry pick your points to attack OP. In reality you are a part of society and benefit from said society, you should be ashamed of yourself for complaining about your taxes being used to improve the lives of other members of society.

Someone on disability should be able to eat what they are able cook and have a fairly nutritious diet, not truffles, caviar nor filet mignon, but then OP never asked for anything gourmet.

I'd really like to know what your disability is, you're able to shop and type on the internet. That means you could hold down many jobs, you write with good grammar as well so you're not illiterate. Working in medicine has taught me that many people are dying to get on disability and it isn't that hard to get on it. Many very healthy people have various difficult to disprove mental ailments, difficult to disprove phantom pain and a litany of other sicknesses. PTSD is over diagnosed in the non war veteran community, emotional abuse and a variety of other alibis make this an easy diagnoses for people that don't want to work. The system's broken.
