I cannot believe they expect us to believe it. No one will.

I disagree, many will believe anything the "authorities" tell them, just look at the Hastings incident. Secondly, I doubt they even care if people believe it or not, all that matters is that nobody is going to do anything about it.

Secret goings on in the UK, in terms of Mi6 at least, actually do not get general coverage in my opinion. IE as far as I can tell, the CIA, NSA and FBI are in the media a lot….


Therefore, when something like this does come up, it tends to pop out.

In this case, it's in the news because the Met and MI6 wanted it to be. They made the statement. They could of done their "report" then left it, but because their intentions were exactly the opposite of what actually happened, they have made themselves look stupid.
