I heard it once and thought it was a train going back and forth (my rationale), but it sounded more like a horn. It went on for almost an hour and it
does give you the creeps - unexplained and unsure where it's coming from - just hits a nerve that tells you it isn't good.
If a skeptic hears it themselves they will be convinced. Otherwise some just won't consider it unless they experience it for themselves. I heard it
around the time of the British Columbia one. I'm sure they must have happened in the past - but if so It must not have been a frequent occurance.
Otherwise science would have an explanation.
