Wow, hey must have changed that one because we stop in Topeka a lot and my husband gets his steaks blue from a Texas Roadhouse. Either they stopped caring or it got changed. However, I'm familiar with ole' Kathleen and how she "handled" insurance in the state.

I'm awfully glad to hear that stupidity didn't survive beyond her tenure as Governor. I can only imagine the outrage for response was powerful and went far beyond truckers pissed about not getting their steak dinner.

It sure didn't improve though, eh? From the Kansas frying pan and on into the HHS fire. She's sure worked to burn down our whole house, anyway.

In all honesty? Sebelius is more a leader than he is by profession and background. The job of Governor is an executive one and she ran a VERY tight ship, as I understand it. I may really have issues with pretty much everything she stands for and believes should happen on a personal level ..but I'll never slight her on the fact she pursues those goals with a fierce, personal intensity.

Many, if not most of his Admin, I think, are like most administrations. They punch a clock, build that resume for when the Boss is out of Office and generally pass one day to the next, trying not to be noticed too much.

A few...and really, just a few..I think have both the internal drive and ability to very much run their own agendas, which just so happen to coincide with Obama's in enough ways to have gotten them the job. Once in? She's her own woman, by what I've seen of her past and history in my neighboring state.

Well you know, Sebelius said "Don't do this to me."

I have to assume with all the phone calls these auto body repair shops are getting, they may be saying the same thing!
Who'd figure they'd be called for health insurance, but this is NYC and it is obamacare.

Apex Car and Limousine Service fixes bodies, but they belong to cars not people, so the owner of this repair shop was stunned to find out it was listed as an enrollment site for Obamacare -- and he's not the only one.

The phones are ringing off the hook at the shop, but it's not to order rides. They were listed on the New York State Health Exchange website as a place to sign up for healthcare. Manager Alex Mulerman said that is simply not true. He can't believe they'd make a mistake like that...

A state Health Department spokesperson confirmed that New York was given a $27 million federal grant to hire 50 nonprofit organizations and 96 subcontractors as health care navigators. They were supposed to identify locations where people could meet and go over options, places like Brooklyn Cupcake, another business that had no idea Obamacare was on the menu.

What I find amusing about the whole ACA failed program web sight is...... NSA can spy on anyone, even world leader's emails and cell phones without notice...... flawlessly until squealed on by someone like Snowden... Yet a web sight that should have been up and running for a heck of a lot less money than the 600 million or 1 billon reported to have been spent so far can not even begin to do it's job... Humm 320 million people divided into one billion dollars would have given most people enough money to be set for life..

Not to rain on your parade or anything, but you may want to actually work out the math to your math problems before posting them online. $1 billion divided by 320 million is just a little above $3. That wouldn't even set someone up in Ethiopia for life.

Well, to my surprise, I was informed that, NO, I could not have my steak cooked medium (or medium well, if I recall). Then Governor Sibelius had determined for the people of Kansas, that no steak in her state could be served in a public establishment with anything but a Well or Well Done cooking given. It was....for our health..I was told.

Well, I never did stop in Kansas again, following a second experience at a Petro truckstop, confirming it wasn't just some kooky person at that Flying J pulling a dumb move ..but really HAD been decreed by Queen Sibelius.

i've never had any issues with steaks and i live in kansas, sounds like somewhere along the line you concluded it was her fault when it may have been concerns over e coli by the health department.

either that or the places you went were being extra zealous about food safety due to being paranoid about getting shut down by the health department.

As you mention.....Barry throws another woman under the bus, while he hides from behind their skirts. I agree, but I do wonder when Democrat women are going to stand up and point out that this administration is engaging in a war on women. I thought I saw that on the news about 6 months ago, that women within the Whitehouse staff get treated like crap.

If they refuse to speak up, then they won't get any sympathy from me. She just needs to go though.

No, unfortunately, I've been looking and can't find anything dating back the several years this would have been. I want to say 2006 or so...but what I'm sharing wasn't 'heard' or read. I personally experienced it at not one, but two unrelated truck stops in the state. So, I relay what I was personally told the reasons were, at both. The Flying J in Salina, I'd made quite a big deal about in going to the manager and making a formal complaint. Truckers can be difficult at times, or so the rumor goes. (It's in the dead center of that state and for that day? That meant no decent dinner at all for me. I was pissed, to say the least)

Is it possible they lied or just covered for company policy or local ordinances or something? Sure.. That's possible. That isn't the explanation I was given at both places, but anything is possible when I'm not finding code or regulation in 2013 to what was being explained as such 6-7 years ago.

Take it for what it's worth and the fact I'm clarifying it how I am. I don't normally hedge, as I generally DO have supporting docs for almost everything I post on topics, whether I link every time or not. This one though? Well.. hell.. Not seeing it.

I AM mathematically challenged in my opinion. But if even I can do the simple math that the PPACA requires, we are cruising for a bruising. And by the time most people wake up to that fact, we will be royally screwed.

I think that our government AND Wall street should return to simple mathematics. But then everyone could see what shenanigans that are going on and they wouldn't be able to screw us as easily as they do.

I had to wonder about the Congress woman grilling and blaming her who said it was going cause people there to lose insurance. Didn't Congress pass this thing into law. How is it the web site's fault. The site doesn't make the law.
