I think a lot, there is always some kind of dialogue going on in my head, I am a dreamer and a bit of an idealist some times in life this has been a curse to me as I am predisposed to bouts of irrational depression, I beat myself up over trivial things but never the less I will usually try and question myself why I feel this way and try too come up with reasons to not feel whatever negative emotions I currently feel or at least understand why in an effort to come to resolve, it's not always a mental health problem you know, if you are aware of the dire mess we are in I would possibly argue that it is inhumane to not be depressed or upset.

Lately it is becoming increasingly difficult to be positive as I struggle to see any hope for the future for all of us, I see ultimately two outcomes no.1 being we will continue on the path that we are going, constantly resetting that hypothetical line in the sand until we have completely lost our humanity and it becomes too late to stop this monster we have all participated in creating through our ignorance, or no. 2 we take action which will lead us into profound uncertainty but will ultimately lead to a better future for us all, however many years that may take, "Ordo Ab Chao." back at you fools, I don't think we can overcome this with peaceful protest now, I hope we could but I'm angry now and hung over from the false hopes I once had for true change.

Deep down in my heart, I feel that the way life we have now is holly unjust and definitely not the way we should be living, I've probably felt this way since I was old enough to reject the doctrine of the church that was offered to me as a young boy and I have been trying to find what would be a reasonable way of life for myself since, trying to discern truth from the lies, the church was my first ever rebellion and it was a liberating experience, an experience that I hope can be repeated in the collective consciousness of us all. That was the beginning of my journey, destination unknown but generally it encompasses the deep need in all of us to live at equilibrium being as true to ones self as possible but the more awake I've become to the problems we have as a species the less I feel it is possible too eek out a living in this life and at the same time be spiritually happy in the current system, the freedom we apparently have just now is just an illusion.

I don't want to comply with this system any more and at the same time it saddens me that I some times feel disgusted at the people that embrace it, if you're happy doing what you're doing then who am I to judge but my heart still bleeds because I know we could do better than this, why am I a bad person for having dreams of the utopia we could have, am I deluded ?

The speed that things are going now is overwhelming to me, it seems that they are really trying to drum a sense of hopelessness into us and we are expected to submit to them or god help us, it's no longer survival of the fittest it's survival of the thickest, mans worst attributes have now become great achievements, how the hell did we end up like this ?

We are at a real turning point here and one of our last privileges is being alive to try and steer this ship in in the right course. I don't have a plan here but I feel a sense of urgency and responsibility that we all need to step it up a gear and really get our fingers out, we can opt out of this, we don't have to participate, I'm done with being ashamed for being different and if the sheep want to make fun of us for running the other way whilst the rest of them are running of the cliff then let them, laws need to be broken too, they can't make morals illegal too. I am checking out people, no longer will I bend over just to make life easier freedom is bigger than me or you.

So I suppose the purpose of this thread is to see how the current state of society is affecting you ?, I've laid myself out bare assed here but I'd also be really interested to here how you feel ? partly it was a bit of a rant I see that but you gotta let it out huh. Thanks for reading if you got this far I really appreciate you taking the time.

I feel sad (and bad) to say this but I truly believe that only hope for mankind may be the re-birth from kaos that may be caused by some kind of cataclysm

well ignorance is bliss and that is how the majority fumble their way through each and everyday......it is awful to watch our species In this mess....I really wish I had an answer but for the sake of my children the last thing I want is a meltdown of our society, i know that is a selfish point of view but for real change we actually need some sort of a plan to move forward and at this point I have no clue what that could be

At some point enough of Earth's resources will become
too uneconomical to extract for a reasonable price
(petroleum, rare earths, etc.) that our technological
civilization will stop being an option for more and
more people.

Horrible technologies such as fracking will poison the
water table..and all the estrogenic imitator compounds
will continue decreasing human fertility and healthy
human births. At some point, underpopulation, not
overpopulation will be a bigger factor. Not sure when
that will be.

Other toxins will take out the bees and other core
components of our ecosystem.

Global warming will eventually melt the suboceanic
methane deposits, causing a spiraling greenhouse
effect, turning Earth into Venus. Of course humans
will attempt to engineer the climate with iron
filings and spraying in the upper atmosphere..
which may prevent Earth turning into Venus,
but will further damage the ecosystem in
other ways.

The ocean is dying right now... due to acidification
and plankton, which is the base of the food chain
will die off, making oxygen drop markedly.. and
cause the entire marine ecosystem to go away..

Earth's oxygen level has already dropped from something
like 35% to just 21% over 10,000 years. Lower oxygen
levels are already having an effect on human intelligence
and human sanity.

There will be mass starvation, revolts, and the wealthy
will live in conclaves, while everyone else suffers and
dies.

Doomsday cults and Armageddon scripts will push us
into WWW III in the middle east and nuclear weapons
will be exchanged. Some people are determined to
have their "sky daddy come back" and they will
do whatever they can to "fulfill prophesy". It won't
just be some Christian sects, but other religions
will also do the same.

Humans in the west are stupid cattle overall, nearly
perfectly hypnotized by the mass media. They will
be further manipulated and taken advantage of
by the PTB.

Unfortunately no Sky Daddies, Reptiles, Aliens, or
Mystical God Men will come to save us.

Human civilization will crash hard.. hard.. hard..

We have been working hard to accomplish this
as a species.. and we will be rewarded by all
our hard work within a few hundred years..

but not tomorrow.

The 'spiritual aspect' of human beings and the
'Holy Neteru' and the like, will illuminate a
few people who will talk clearly and repeatedly
and who will be ignored.

We made this coming crash happen and we will
enjoy the fruit of our hard work.

I am hopeful however, that after the crash,
perhaps some humans might get their stuff
together and stop being such perfect
little soldiers, programmed from birth
by those awful memes that have ruled
the human race since early in the agricultural
revolution, when the rape, pillage and kill
programming of the Sky Daddies infected
the innocent minds of pre-industrial
humans.

Questions?

Interesting answer thank you for going into so much detail, things are real grim, it's so frustrating because I know we could do better, life could be amazing here, I agree with you that a lot of us are happily going along with the raping and destruction of the planet, it's horrible to witness this.

Society does not affect me anymore. I see things clearly now. All is how it must be. The planet and it's population are going in a new phase. The golden/aqaurius age is here. The book Bhagavad Gita has helped me greatly understanding life's many questions. It's my "bible" . I hope it can help you 2 on ur path

I feel you. I was wanting to post a rant similar to this.

I feel the state of society is horrible, at least in most of the world. We live in electric boxes connected to electric plants that burn natural resources and pollute the earth horridly. Think about this for a second: Whats the last thing you used that didn't have electricity in it? I bet its something simple such as a hammer or even a toothbrush or comb, but think about this; It was made using electricity. We cant even do something as make a hammer or brush without destroying our world. The way we live now is the worst way. There is too many of us thanks to modern medicine which is leading to resistant super bacteria as well as dive into radioactive elements just to see what they do. We humans have far over-complicated everything.

We are even typing in a "world" that doesn't exist, its fake and all perception. So what can we do? We are on a crash course in this world right now and the outlook is bleak. But we can do a little, and by doing a little we are doing a lot. We must all do everything we can the natural way, most of the time electricity is used for convenience. What happened to building structures such as the pyramids with our hands? Some say its impossible but its not, we humans are just so out of touch with nature we dont even know how to use our own bodies!!
Just a little to think about, don't let it get you down too much or you will wanna rip apart the whole world like i do sometimes.

I think pretty good depending on where you're talking about. First world countries are getting hit pretty bad but third world countries are benefiting by all of this. Some countries aren't affected very much like Canada but it's Canada.

That was minimal detail. And the broad-brushes was obvious as
all hell, by the time I was 8 years old.

All this crap could be easily stopped, for no time and no money;
at least for phase I. But society is not willing to do what must
be done.... which is simply to be honest to a fault... to divulge
the self-interest which is present within all their thoughts and
words.

No amount of logic can penetrate the terminator-meme part
of the cycle of gene-meme co-evolution.

Yes, 80% of what is wrong with the world could be solved in
2 generations... I mean clean power.. sustainable agriculture
and rational people who still have a spiritual core.

People will get out of their easy chair, to drive down and pay
a bill to avoid a late fee; but won't get out of their easy
chair to make a difference.

There was a time when leaders were not so rare.. and
people HAD NOTHING TO LOSE ANYWAY.. so leaders
were given a chance..

But we are POISONED by the comforts of our society,
those of us who are in the industrial / 1st world
countries anyway.. and we are afraid to lose our
comfort.. so nobody is willing to say "Hey good
idea! Let's do that TOGETHER". They have too much
to lose, they think.

Unfortunately leaders are in short supply these days, and
the followers we have want to follow Kim Kardashians
rear end, or other things of similar quality.

Everything is just a big blur of noise.. and no real value
is discernible by anyone any longer.

Give me ten good men and women and I'd try my best
to change all that.... but I don't see any volunteers
forming in a line! There are various people in the world
who could really make a difference if we followed their
leadership... but we follow our own comfort instead.

Im not anti-american, im anti idiot, i don't want people in power who cant do the job.

As for what you said about people not getting out of their chairs, your right. But we have to do it first, keep in mind 99% of people are followers, not leaders. Although I contradict myself again, we shouldnt need leaders because all we have to do is not do the things we KNOW DAMN GOOD AND WELL are HORRIBLE for the ecosystem.

I think that for some people it is a horrible and desperate time that is only going to get worse.
I think that for other people it is an average time, mixing both good days and bad days.
I think that for some people life is great and that money or being financially viable is not an issue.

I am 40 and my peers and I are doing fine and stable but I am terribly worried for my sister and her age..she is 27 , works two jobs at 50-60 hours a week not making much more then $10 an hour..Neither job is in her chosen field ,PR, and the prospects of her finding a job in that field grow worse every day.

Now factor in the hyper availability of information which contributes to the desperation , in it's own way..

It is a challenging time..If you don't go into survival of the fittest mode then this world we will eat you up and spit you out.

No offense to you or your sister.
But money needs to disapeer entirely. It doesn't fix anything. if we were still bartering we wouldn't have to wake up thinking "What bills do i have to pay" "How much money do i owe?" Whats going on?" Money money money. Im sick of money.

When that happens we can talk and I fully agree with your sentiment. ..until then ..its a necessary evil and being financially viable makes life a lot easier then being on the opposite end of that spectrum.

Persistence is the hallmark of an organized mind.. and
a delusional and a crazy one.. humans have such
little persistence.

I promised myself decades ago, that if someone was
persistent with me, I'd share all that I know.. and
be a real friend to them.. it's never happened.

I spent 50 years on my journey to get my questions
answered.. I wish that I could meet and work
with others who are that persistent for things that
are worthwhile..

Im not sure how to quote.
I hear that tale alot, its sad. People have been waiting their whole lives for things to change. LOTS of people, but thats the thing. These people are not few, but far between. If we had a base of operations, perhaps a Global Do-Things-The-Right-Way-You-Know-You-Want-To-Center maybe we could. The bad outweighs the good.

Then there's john everyman, the guy who is a puppet on a string. We the people should be pulling our own strings. Someday i hope to be the leader of a new free world, just know there is hope out there.

Being an historian I can say without a doubt that society today is far, far better than it has been in past times. Of course each generation thinks they are facing the worst of times and that society is degrading but that is because they have first-hand knowledge of it and experience it every day of their lives.

Had they been alive for say a thousand years their perspective would change drastically. Our society, at least in the US, is far better than it was even 50 years ago and it is wise to not look at history through rose colored glasses.

Today we worry about debts going out of control or government spying, who we are attacking across the globe this week, or corporations stealing money. Good things to worry about but they pale in comparison to some of the times when absolute fear gripped the nation.

We idolize times such as WWII and the great heroic efforts the allies made yet we easily forget that while it was going on we did not know if we were going to win. The Cold War had people living in fear that at any second an atomic weapon may be dropped on them or during the Red Scare people saw a communist plot around every corner.

These are fears that no longer exist on a societal basis. The examples are many of the changes the world has gone through and the fear that accompanied it. The incorporation of electricity into society set many people into believing that the end of humanity was just around the corner.

So I would say that if you professed to someone a hundred years ago about how bad off we are, that they would probably laugh in your face.

Go ahead and mention to a man trying to feed his family during the Great Depression how bad our society is and how helpless you feel.

I don't mean to sound rude but before you complain too much about our harsh society today, it might do well to read a history book or two.
