Why Do Some Threads Not Show Up in Recent Posts?

I have noticed that some threads do not show up in recent posts when you post in them.

I would like to know what the reason for this is.

Probably threads that are for the BTS section.

Which if you click on the smiley face on recent posts page listed as off-topic, that will refresh teh board for only BTS topics.

That one is on the BTS section of ATS, therefore, you'll need to do what I stated above to see those threads.

The board is spilt into two sections, ATS and BTS the button i showed you, well that one, and the one to the left of it, toggle the options.
