The Problem with 'Honesty' - Part 2 - Lame Excuses

Let's continue. Of course this material is all my observation and not
necessarily 'reality'. I don't claim to speak for God; nor am I on some
holy crusade. In fact I predict with 99% certainty that this thread
about 'honesty' will have no positive effect whatsoever. But I need
to live with myself, so I'm giving this an 'old college try'.

The few people I have presented this theory to (even the theory
of gravitation is a theory and an evolving one.. ) always come up
with what are to me lame excuses.

Now I understand the staggering 'enemy' involved here.. I'm basically
crying BS to the entire brain component of the human genome; human
society as a whole, and nearly all the 'human facts' currently in existence.

There is a human tendency to attempt to 'shut down' someone's rational
argument on a topic, if the person believes that it's 'hopeless anyway'.
This is probably the thing that drives me the craziest. Of course, this
is the memes fighting back.. shutting down rational discourse before
it even properly begins, for the purpose of self-preservation.

If a person allows these facts (I understand the emotional bias people
might have with my use of the word fact, but I refuse to be wimpy
with my assertion) to resonate within their skulls (or beings), then
their entire sense of self is threatened.. yes, everything you know
may well be a lie, from a certain perspective. So should we be
cowardly? I suggest that we all confront things which are uncomfortable
to us and give them a fair hearing.. or human society will implode..
most people realize this.. human society is about to implode.
Do you really want to prevent that or deal with that in a positive way?
You can.. you truly can..

Now I'm going to take an apparent detour here, which some might think
is off-topic. I want to briefly mention my life-experience with Christianity.

When I was a young man, around the age of 15, I was accosted by people
who wanted to tell me about Jesus. Now the point here is not whether
or not Jesus is God made flesh -- that's not the point at all. The point
is that these folks were barbarians, they told me that I was cosmic
refuse, that I was damned from before the beginning of time, that my
soul was absolutely corrupt; and that only Jesus, the lamb of God who
takes away the sin of the world could redeem me. Now I 'knew better'
to 1000 decimal places of accuracy, but they did make an interesting
argument which I could not disregard.

It was queried to me that "what if you are wrong?" If you don't lay aside
your rational mind, the holy spirit can't enter you and show you the
truth. Perhaps your human knowledge is flawed.. perhaps everything
that we are saying is true, but you won't become one of the elect
unless you admit that you could possibly be deceived. There is a way
to a man that seems like wisdom, but which leads to damnation.

Egads! They might have a point. So I joined them. I put all my vast
(even at 15 it was vast) knowledge aside, and I opened my heart to
the Holy Spirit and offered my eternal service to Jesus as the way,
the truth and the light.

I lived as a Christian for something like 8 years.. I walked the walk
not just talked the talk. I studied the bible with all my heart and
mind.

Now I knew that nearly everything in the bible was wrong..but there
was no doubt that the Holy Spirit existed and in fact lived in me.
After all, it couldn't be the DEVIL, as I said with full confidence that
Jesus was Lord.. and no man can say that and mean that, under the
spirit of the Devil.

Now I knew that what the bible said about Jesus was pure rubbish,
but since this was a matter of faith and not works or human
knowledge, it didn't matter!

I mean after all, Jesus did not put down the Egyptian Magicians
casting spells to remove demons in this name.. it was only the
apostles who didn't understand the nature of truth at the time;
and Jesus put his size 9 up their posteriors!

Jesus also threw the money changers out of the temple, and had
nothing nice to say about Pharisees (religious authorities). So
the fact that I knew 90%+ of the bible was completely in error
didn't bother me in the least.

The reason I bring this up, is not to cause Christian flames to
come my way, or to say bad things about the Bible.. the point
here --- I did EXACTLY what the Christians ask for... I set aside
my entire personality and let the Christian memes enter me..
and lived the life as one of them... just to see "if they were
right".

So I have little patience for Christians, who seemingly never
actually live according to Jesus's words.. but spend all their
time flaming disbelievers and acting very poorly indeed..
who in fact are corrupted by what happened to Christianity
after Constantine detonated the words of Jesus and made
them functionally invisible.

For Christians -- you can consider me "an Egyptian magician"
(metaphorically) who Jesus would have approved of.

All these people say "Lord Lord" and He will say "I never knew
you". In my opinion the people in question are the ones who
beat their chests about so-called Christianity, but who never
knew Jesus. I've met SO many Christians, but to the best
of my knowledge I've never met a follower of Jesus.

My apologies for how offensive this sounds to many.. for
any Christians who wish to tell me that I'm deceived by
Satan or whatever, please flame me in PM's not in
posts, so that you don't make a mockery of yourself
and the one you say you love. He would not have
approved of your behavior.

Now am I a Christian? No. Definitely not. I do not
worship emperor Constantine or the huge pack of
hungry and negatives which are the essence of
Christianity.

I do have a sincere love for Jesus... but that's
private. I won't explain the truth about Jesus
as that's not important. Living in a way which
is life affirming IS IMPORTANT, and the best
way to do that, is to run as minimal a viral
load as possible.

I also have a sincere love for other aspects
of God .. in fact ALL aspects of God..which
includes rational materialistic science in
all it's wonderful detail.

I shared this ultra personal story about Jesus
and Christianity, to demonstrate that humans
don't need to be prisoners of memes.. they
can be completely free.. and there is NO
meme-complex out there (religion or philosophy)
which is worth a #. They are all Pharisees
and Sadducees and don't belong in the temple.

We CAN evolve past our enslavement. It IS
possible to be truly HONEST.

And in fact, there is a path forward, where
genuine HONESTY can 'save the world'.

However it is obvious to me, that in fact I did not fall away
from anything. I'd like to think that I evidence the following:
"love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

unless of course one does not robotically follow programming,
implanted by a malevolent bit of 'computer code', which says
that you have to jump up and down on your left foot on
alternate Wednesdays while saying the code words, or these
gifts of the spirit are of no value.

I guess you did contribute to the thread after all. No I'm not
being clever or catty. Your statement inspired me to quote
scripture, which says the same thing. I think that Jesus would
approve.. and Jesus would not wave the end of the world
around at a brother who just wishes to honor the divine
attribute of honesty; or maybe he would.. but in any
case, I will not make the error of "speaking for God" like
so many do. For people who love the lord their God with
all their heart and mind and soul and will, and their
neighbor like their self, there is no fear.

Now, my direct perception of the Divine may well differ
from yours.. (I think that's safe to say), but I am not
ashamed to say the words in that manner.. I find them
beautiful, even if the true meaning has been lost in
all the noise.

I will not make the error of "speaking for God" like so many do.

If the words the faithful express are aligned to upholding the very same positive (Truth) elements a Living Word espouses within the Bible, then such is not violation against Divine Precepts in sheparding. It is simply testifying to the elements of Truth that the Holy Spirit Confirms to Trusting adherents with Outpouring and in-dwelling for Leading.

However it is obvious to me, that in fact I did not fall away from anything. I'd like to think that I evidence the following: "love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

There is so much more within the Bible than just those elements that you appear to have greatly dismissed in your overall negative sentiments toward the Inspired Word. Of course you are most entitled to your stances, though I too acknowledge that elements within the Bible require the discernment of the Holy Spirit to recognize distortion.

The Holy Spirit is both Helper and Comforter that aids one to filter out that which is not in the Good Spirit of operation.

For people who love the lord their God with all their heart and mind and soul and will, and their neighbor like their self, there is no fear.

Those that truly love Him tend to adhere to Instruction moreso and in such, there should be less to fear being in the corruptible flesh, yet cleaving to Spirit.

I have love for you and all those I address in turn and I hope you are shown if you have not already, the season we are in. I will be providing more testimony in due course that has affirmed my faith greatly in the scriptures and I pray that Outpourings be swift to all the children of Creation because the hour is late and the willing workers few to proclaim the Truth of the Gospel of Salvation.

Christians are meant to lead by example, and not only their words, So, how would you know the true Christian unless you watch instead of hear? You would not know them in a forum (usually), as real Christians wouldn't flame, or boast, or say any of the things which you have mentioned. And certainly they wouldn't act poorly, but inspire with kindness.

I've met SO many Christians, but to the best of my knowledge I've never met a follower of Jesus.

But.........how would you know. You will know them by their fruits.
