PM notifcations Please??

Back in the old days we had a tool bar... which popped up at the bottom of the screen... it was lovely

But I think the thing I miss the most lately is the lack of Private Message notification...

It used to show up in bright Yellow!!

Which always brought a smile to my face... Please check the avatar for an example

These days its just green...


And I tend to have this sort of face....



When I go to my messages to find a stack of unanswered PM's waiting... some from almost a week ago...

IS it possible we could get some sort of notification on the PM button please?

A some sort of sign?

Perhaps a smoke signal?

A frickin buzzer??

I never knew that either. I've been using my slackness and blaming it on no notifications.

Hmm, I will now have to change this to my debilitating inability to notice white icons what change colour.
It's kept me out of some work, this problem, mostly electronics. But I tell you, nothing worse than contrast blindness...

If you scroll your mouse over the envelope it will tell you how many messages you have as well .
