The SS wiped out whole villages in Poland cause there were too "slavic" and butched countless Ukranians and Russians. Not to mention any group that wasnt Aryan and NAZI. Hell I belive there was plans to even get rid of the french eventually.

"amusing" is a poor choice of words. There are many controversies surrounding the death of Patton but I think it was his brutal honesty and sense of integrity that they needed to quell lest certain secrets leak out back home.

So the holocaust is the one historical event where laws are necessary ? A lot of racially motivated genocides/crimes against humanity have taken place over the history and this is the one that gets pinned to the do not challenge the facts board? I assure you, I have no sympathy for the Nazi's, what I do have though is questions, as do many historians.

Another favourite tactic is to try and single this out as exclusive and out of context in this manner. What other countries and area's choose to adopt as law where they are is their business. The sheer scale and destruction wrought by WW2 in Europe caused by the actions of a facistisc ideaology left many deep scars and caused the division of a continent for nearly three generations. Of course the lawmakers following on from that are going to try and prevent such things happening again. To suggest that they do otherwise is ludicrous and goes against rational human nature.

I guess you'll try and suggest that this is pinned as an exclusive genocide. Its not. There have been many others across history, but none of them happened in Germany in Europe in the middle of the single biggest conflict the world has ever seen, and that means that this one draws more attention than others.

Perhaps. But then again, the Chinese "holocaust" at the hands of Japan is more well known in China than the German holocaust.

In a way, as westerners, you would expect us to be more informed about the German genocide of the Jews than the Japanese one.

The reason it's illegal in some countries is because said countries refuse to let the past go, in an effort to stave off such murderous behavior in the future.

I dont think anyone is denying the reality that it happened. But if the facts are skewed or the numbers are off...what is wrong with asking why?

Could it be that behind the death and pain, there was a much deeper conspiracy that some people would rather not see drug to the surface?

The preposition here is about deniers of the holocaust being a criminal offence. Had the OP given even a whit of proof as to the actual numbers, (which he/she didn't) then that would be something to look at. The esoterics of Nazism I don't give a fiddler's feck, what did happen meant that, you, me, and mum and granny meant feck nothing. AKA Fascista victims

. What about the generations of Germans that had nothing to do with the NAZIS? Why should should they stilli endure the shame of the actions of their grandparents and great grandparents? Why must we STILL commit our consciousness to envocing the memory of this evil regime? Clearly there is a conspiracy as surely as there is an ATS.

Because they do not want the embarrassment of such. I am going to use an analogy that may not seem relevant to your question. Take the JFK assassination. There was a large investigation, a lot of inconsistencies on such. Yet we all know that there is more to the story than what was released by the Government. Ever wonder why? Even now they do not release all of the information, due to that all those who were involved are still alive. it will not be released until after all those who were involved have died and are long gone. The same can be said about the Holocaust. Too many who were around at that time frame, either witnessed, or were victims or even participated are still alive, and rather than create more controversy and cause problems for the countries, they chose to pass laws to end all debates at this time frame and leave it to history.

That's because Hitler wasn't daft enough to put his name to such an upfront order.

He didn't have to anyway. Everyone under him knew his intentions, he wanted the Jews exterminated like lice. So when his underlings, like Goebbels, wrote in their diaries about their conversations with the Fuhrer, that Hitler wanted the Jews of Europe annihilated, that the Jews were to blame for their own extermination, that by their annihilation the National Socialists were doing humanity a great service, that there was no room for sentiment etc etc etc ... you think such diary entries are unreliable ? Why would Goebbels write lies about a man he so adored ?

And if Hitler hated Jews so much then why did he allow so many to leave Germany and provide them with enough machinery and training to start a country? Why would he do this if he planned to kill all of them?

If Hitler was really murdering this many Jews then why did Jews commit acts of sabotage against England for Germany? Not to mention serving in his military several of Hitlers Generals and Admirals were also Jewish.
