This "event", or non-event as it seems, really has me feeling a multitude of emotions! I am sooo pi$$@d off that the media is not covering this AT ALL! I am sickened to know that my country's leader has not uttered a word! I am saddened that this man's death now means jack spit because of the media and our leadership! I am ashamed to live in a society where this action goes virtually unnoticed!

Its got me feeling the same way. Twilight zonish...lol

What gets me is ask anyone you know two questions.

Have you heard about the dental hygienist that got shot in DC?

Then ask if they heard about the guy that saluted the nations capitol dumped a gallon of high test on himself and set himself on fire on the DC mall.

Everyone I asked were flabbergasted they hadn't heard about the poor guy setting himself n fire in front of the Nations Capitol. Defiantly media is controlling this one hard. It needs to be addressed by the President, it happened on his turf. WTH?

Its like the navy yard shooting. It wasn't on any of my news sites today. Its like the "unexpected" events aren't reported on.. but "known" or "planned" events are all over the media non stop.

I bet they will care more about the camera man then the gut who set himself on fire

Spread this. Spread this now. Tell everyone you know. Social media, email, text, or even a phone call. This is something that must get out.

John Constantino, 64, of Mount Laurel, N.J., had burns so severe that authorities needed to use DNA and dental records to identify him. District of Columbia police spokesman Paul Metcalf confirmed his identity.

The witness they have is #ty but still, its very local.

According to witnesses, Mr Constantino gave the Capitol building a crisp military salute, before igniting the fuel he had doused himself in and then setting the blaze using a lighter just before 4.30pm.

Interesting "theory" you have there cheebie! Sounds just about accurate to me.

Thank you VERY much Thorneblood and ceruleanblue, at least he's no longer anonymous, even if his motives remain a mystery.

However, riddle me this, isn't that rather quick for DNA or Dental identification? Especially when you consider it was late Friday when he died and D.C. is shutdown for the most part?! That's only slightly fishy if you ask me... just sayin'.

No not so much as who he is...but why he did it, what his message was. Why the media has not sensationalized this like everything else. This is much bigger headline grabber than the lady that drove around and got shot.

This guy set himself on fire in the presidents backyard and the media has downplayed it.

As many of us on this and related threads have predicted. The man was labeled "mentally ill" and the story buried. No doubt in my mind that his family was paid off and scripted to concur. TPTB successfully doused a potential firestorm and rendered this poor man's death meaningless. If there was any manifesto it was destroyed. They hid his identity long enough to scrub away manifesto or history. I'm sickened.
