Divorcing Our Government ( A Bad Marriage )

Imagine this, you are in a marriage and you are the only bread winner, you work six to seven days a week to survive and support your family you rely on your spouse to manage their share.

You are are stressed financially, emotionally, and physically, and vacations are something that only people with extra time and many can do, this is your reality.

Now your spouse on the other hand is living the life of a millionaire, they go out partying on your dime, spending money that the both of you do not have, making rules that they themselves don’t follow, they lie to you on a constant basis, and they cheat/steal, then point fingers at other people and circumstances and say it’s not their fault.

Your spouse decides one day that because you are not agreeing with them, and they are not getting their way, in another one of their deluded plans, that they will start holding back the only remaining responsibilities, and tasks that make and keep a marriage together.

What are the solutions? because no matter what you say they don't seem to respond, or listen

Just remember...it's easy enough getting out, but it's a real pain in the butt getting back in.

Go ahead and divorce her (gov) she's still going to get half of your wages in alimony (taxes) for the rest of your life. Oh and don't forget the child support (welfare spending on other people's kids) and attorney fees (lobbyist tax breaks).

What options are there other than divorce/separation or remaining miserable in a hopeless relationship?

I put up with it long enough, socked away some money of my own plus have a tiny pension plan, so I packed up and left. I became an expat. Sometimes the best solution is just to leave. That seems to be the best decision I ever made.

It is not always easy to do though. I had to work around the clock, scrimp and save, forego any semblance of a normal life, and still have to pay alimony in the form of taxes. I may even have to pick up her medical bills since not living in that household any longer may not exempt me from having to pay a penalty for not having a new mandatory insurance plan - actually I keep the one I had even though I never use it since where I live now I can afford to pay for any medical needs for less than my deductibles.

No sense in staying with an impossible wife or mistress. Over time their demands finally became unreasonable. I am happy where I am at now but I still hope she realizes what a witch she became and can mend her evil ways.

What worries me the most is not the awareness and wisdom here I see on ATS, but rather the people in the USA that actually think this type of behavior is normal, and/or OK.

I guess when one person visits a Nuthouse with 500 lunatics, he is the one that isn't normal.

Just hoping that we have more sane people in the USA than, nutters.
