Skyfall...?

I was casually driving to my job and I have a station as always on the radio...

It's typical for most stations to repeat certain songs to make you LIKE them in the end...

Now there is this song which most people like apparently and I've started to like myself I guess but I have to admit initially I didn't get what was all the fuzz about...

I have heard it probably almost 50 times or something... today however I realised the lyrics even though I was singing it all these times (singing it could be an over statement but you get my drift).

I am referring to the song of James Bond "Skyfall" by Adelle.

I am not the guy who believes too much on hidden meanings etc but it suddenly hit me with the ISON and all those rocks falling from the skies lately...

call me crazy but I don't know... felt weird today realizing what I was mumbling when this song came on.

The song was specifically written for the James Bond film "Skyfall". The lyrics reflect similar imagery from the movie. You know, darkness, espionage, conspiracy, death....spy stuff

Edit: I have a buddy who is a Greek/Italian mix and you just reminded me of him.

Edit part 2: He will kill me if he found i forgot to mention that he is what is called "Macedonian Greek" or something.

nop.. just Greek... or I should say Hellenic. Greek derives from the word grekos which means slave and it was used during the Ottoman empire times.

Cause Macedonia is part of greece. Skopja which used to be called even by themselves like 40-50 years ago Vardarska or something similar decided that "hey... we don't have any history.. lets steal some". And they decided that they are the real macedonians and that Alexander the Great was slavic like them...

However they do seem to forget that Alexander the great spoke hellenic... which they never did.

Just a game of trying to create some history for a country that has none... preety pathetic imo...

The art of writing good lyrics is to use words and phrases that can be interpreted in multiple ways by different people. That way it can mean different things to different people at different times.

Jim Morrision of the doors was a master at this kind of writing.

I counted the Earth getting impacted like 20 times last might within an hour on History Channel.

The film, and the song title, were created to touch particular chords in the collective mind- the 2012 hysteria, with end of world predictions, astroids, colliding planets, three days of darkness. ... these ideas and images were big at that time.
The art produced in any particular culture will express the most prevalent concepts in it at that specific point in time.
