Who says they have to be distractions for anything.

I am sure if you take time to go over history you would find many years with the same number of "big" events taking place.

Doesn't have to mean that they are covering something up and trying to distract the population.

1. The Govt has shut down 17 times since 1977.
2. Doom porn has been accurate exactly 0% of the time.
3. October 1 is the start of a new fiscal year yet people ignore that.

You forgot to add in the comet! Also 10/1 and 10/2 as best I remember. Interesting threads all over ATS regarding the comet and some on solar activities with videos for those of us less educated on such things. I think the comet deserves a spot in your OP.

Under Obamacare US Citizens relying on programs like medicare will have to pay it starting Jan 1, 2014 and all businesses have start paying Jan 1, 2015. I think this Obamacare scheme is just another way dry up US assets and bankrupt the economy, while ushering a New World Order.

Because it is getting colder outside (winter is coming) people tend to stay indoors more and hover on this site all day errday. Happens every year....

No. But government agencies always spend remaining funds at the end of the quarter. If they don't spend it they lose it on the next go round.

I'm hearing "whispers" from friends with years in IT that the "Exchanges" that were supposedly set up to brilliantly and miraculously increase our healthy-way of life that "opened" today are a disaster in the making...people couldn't get through.Not at all.

Insufficient security in place, much risk of fraud and identity theft, "Navigators" ( thinking of Kevin Costner in "Waterworld" here) that are un-trained and will potentially have access to theimportant personal , medical, and tax info of many Americans, and although my local TV channel was touting the "Spanish speaking" ease that people would enjoy, that's not happening either.

It's also rumored that "hacking" has already started.

The "shadows" are giggling today.

You mean prior to the fiscal year ending yesterday?
When I look at the end date on the fiscal year were I work we spent a ton of money on a multitude of different things in the weeks going up to that clearly that has to indicate FEMA is knocking on our door.

I am pretty sure that weird weather has been happening on the planet since the dawn of time. It's like people that get spun up about earthquake swarms at Yellowstone because you know that has never happened before. Or I like the people that were sure the massive tornados in Tornado alley were a sign of something looming.

Actually you haven't because the economy hasn't collapsed. If it did then some of the things you want to worry about would probably be a lot more likely.
Additionally fraud is not the cause of the state the economy is in. That is like saying the only thing you need for fire is heat.


Their is nothing wrong with trying stay aware of things but too many people on this site put some significance on this specific date without paying any credence to the start of a new fiscal year. No amount of reality is going to change your mind though, people that want to see a conspiracy in everything will do just that.
