They are terrorist. They trying to defund (kill) a law that was a bill, that was passed in both houses of congress, and signed by the president. They are trying to circumvent the constitution by holding federal workers hostage.

They are similar in many ways to terrorists.
1. They are insane
2. They are willing to harm innocents to further their cause.
3. They are losers with no other way to fight than using mean little tactics to
draw attention to themselves.
4. They are the puppets of a higher power. (Billionaires instead of religious leaders)
5. They follow an illogical ideology, very cult like.

Quit watching Fox news (or Limbaugh). Free your mind. They are controlling your mind and you can't see it.
Your ideas are not their ideas. You are being manipulated. Poor people are not the problem. Rich people are.

Wow you speak so confidently, but really don't have a clue do you?

The law was passed, and the SUPREME COURT...you know people above your pay grade, above lying rotten politicians pay grade, etc...The Supreme Court said that that the "Affordable Care Act" is constitutional! You're being sold by the politicians on why to hate the law. Unless of course you think you are more wise than the Supreme Court of the United States.

Secondly, you speak out of your ass about "checking on the visa and passport situation". I am a world traveler, and entertainer in the business, and a colleague of mine just got stranded in NYC yesterday when he was supposed to be going to Russia for a show. He was told that due to the government shutdown his Passport and Visa was on "hold" until the government shutdown ended. SO yes, it's real.

Also, you act as if these few politicians represent the MAJORITY of this country. It would be REALLY noble what the Republicans are doing IF, AND ONLY IF...hundreds of thousands were int he streets, protesting in all major cities across the US because they didn't want "Obamacare". There was no big protest...they did it because they wanted to....they've been doing this for the entire Obama presidency.

This was the final straw.

It's OK though, they are costing the country MILLIONS each day, wasting our time, etc. The VOTERS will remember this...first Romney, now this.

The Republicans don't stand a chance in hell ever getting elected anytime soon. People will remember who's fault it was. People are smarter these days.

This was uncalled for. Unless you are female, you have no idea what you just said. I have a few cruel goodies I could say about penises that would make you cringe, but I know where to draw the line.

You have no idea what my pay grade is, but okay. Let us examine your confidence. The Supreme Court ruled that one section of the PPACA was valid, the individual mandate. Specifically they ruled that the Government has the plenary power to administer a tax on the People. It however denied that the Government has the power to force the People to purchase anything. Instead, because of the tax ruling, it did however say that punitive measures can be tied to not paying that tax.

With all that above, the PPACA was never challenged save the "individual mandate" provision and how the Government will enforce it. They did not rule the Act Constitutional because they didn't test it nor was it all challenged.

You're being sold by the politicians on why to hate the law. Unless of course you think you are more wise than the Supreme Court of the United States.

Tell you what. Ask the seasoned people here if I am a sellout. I assure you that I am not. I have gone to bat for the Obama Administration when it was warranted and hammered them when necessary. I am for the Rule of Law; not some party marker at the end of my name. My ancestry goes back to John Adams, I desire freedom above petty politics.

Secondly, you speak out of your ass about "checking on the visa and passport situation". On hold is not denied. Yes there will be delays. There could be delays for numerous reasons (while it is known why this is happening). But the fact is, passports and visas are still being processed. You said they were not. You were wrong. Admit it. It will make you feel better.

It's OK though, they are costing the country MILLIONS each day, wasting our time, etc. The VOTERS will remember this...first Romney, now this.

It was billions in the previous thread...now it is millions...we must be saving money. Also, what does Romney have to do with anything? Or was that some leakage of hate coming through?

The Republicans don't stand a chance in hell ever getting elected anytime soon. People will remember who's fault it was. People are smarter these days.

So people of yesteryear were dumb? Your peers and your elders are idiots? Gotcha.

Hey this is a good thing! Maybe if we start calling everyone we don't like a terrorist, the word will lose meaning and we'll finally win this WAR ON TERRIFYING TERRORISTS!

Seriously, words are only as powerful as the meaning we give them. TPTB are getting desperate. They're using all the fear tactics they can to get people distracted. Ignore their shenanigans. It's all a load of bollocks. The only terrorist worthy of our fear is the rising tyrannical American Empire itself. You can bet your sweet ass that if a terrorist attack DOES happen in the near future on U.S. soil, that the shadow government is behind it.

Your government has spent over 15 TRILLION dollars on defense & federal military spending. If that's not enough to keep all these "terrorists" at bay... then I guess we're all f#cked AND broke now, too. What a bummer!

Point 1. All politicans are insane.
Point 2. the democrats have done the same in the past. the super majority that allowwed this mess is a good example.
Point 3. The democrats did this when Bush was in office a few times on some issues. And come on this president has been on TV more than any in history,a attention whore of the worst kind.
Point 4. Democrats are also puppets. The entire government is.
Pont 5. the democrats all marching in lockstep do the same thing

You say stop watching Fox news and listening to limbaugh right? OK. Add to the list NPR,PBS.NBC,CNN,MSNBC,RT,AL JAZEERA.

You are also being manipulated. Classism is just what they want you to feel and see. POWER is the problem not how much money you make. Complaining about what someone else has is jealousy. WHat has a rich person ever done directly to you?

It's not like the Tea Party calls the President of the United States an evil Muslim Terrorist or anything...huh?

Politics is a nasty business indeed. I find, as a thinking individual, that hyperbole of this kind is highly toxic in ways we don't even realize yet.

But let's face facts...they truly are the American Taliban.

You have absolutely no idea who the Taliban really are. I, on the other hand, do. You should be ashamed of this comment as it is just such a clear example of the toxic hyperbole I refer to above.

They would love to rule this country under religious rule and put women back in the kitchen.

There are indeed examples of such a disgusting view from republicans. Much of it is political hyperbole exacerbated by opposing media without much care for the facts. I suppose all the republican women out there just can't wait to religiously rule themselves back to the kitchen eh?

The scary thing is, they say this with pride...they think one of the biggest problems with our country is that we don't base our laws on the bible and that women are educated and out in the workforce.

That is the view of zealots. Zealots are loud, but do not represent a majority.

Don't blame me or others for just pointing out that this type of thinking matches exactly what the Taliban thinks.

You have no idea what the Taliban thinks.

The "terrorist" part is from their current actions...they are using the government shutdown and the debt ceiling to invoke "terror" in the public in an attempt to get them on their side and get their way. That is exactly what terrorists do.

No. Terrorists kill people. They set roadside bombs. They murder children. They deface women for daring to show their faces. They stone women for being raped. They will kill you if they had the chance. You don't know a damned thing about terrorists, the Taliban, or any of the other hyperbolic crap you're spewing.

It is the American thing to do to stand up and call them out for what they are...not to sit silently just to be polite.

All should speak when they find injustice. But speak the truth.

If only more Americans had the insight and critical thinking skills displayed in this response, perhaps we could then truly live up to claims of being the United... States.

"Dr" Paul who took the hypocrattic oath is a major investor in some mining companies with very bad health and safety records:

Mr. Paul, a millionaire five times over, has several million of his assets invested in numerous mining corporations including three of the worst mining corporations in the world: One of them is Anglogold Ashanti Ltd in which Paul has invested $250,001 to $500,000. According to Forbes, AngloGold Ashanti was accused in 2007 in Colombia for “murders of trade union and community leaders who opposed the company’s activities in the region”. Paul is invested other other mining companies with reputations just as tawdry. The mining industry is known worldwide for its extreme abuse of its workers–up to and including deliberate murder. Ron Paul is just as evil and vile as the rest of them. In fact, Ron Paul is has just bout 95% of all his millions of dollars tied up in investment in mining companies all over the world–no surprise since Paul lobbies hard for the gold standard.

The same could be said for relenting on demands to increase the debt ceiling, couldn't it? Careful, sometime your own logic can be used to bite you in the ass.

Are you describing republicans or progressives?
It sounds like anti gun liberals that would like to change or ignore the 2nd amendment.
All five of your "points" describe them perfectly.

More and more I am reading this everywhere. On the MSM, on blogs, even here in our little corner of the internet. People are calling the Republicans and the Tea Party Terrorists!!!

This is insane. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU. Shame on the newsites for printing this garbage, but mostly SHAME on you America, shame on every poster on this site that has posted this nonsense. To call fellow Americans Terrorists... Why? Because you disagree with them? Thats the lowest of the low, a downright shame and a slap in the face to everything this country stands for.

This is exactly what TPTB want. We are now turning on each other like rabid dogs. An entire segment is being labeled Terrorists... Where will this lead? No where I hope. But if people start being rounded up for their beliefs we only have ourselves to blame.

This is DANGEROUS, very dangerous talk guys. I can't believe I'm actually hearing Americans talking to each other like this.

This isn't anything new. In fact, I've seen liberals called MUCH, MUCH worse in the past few years.

Obama is called a Kenyan, a socialist, a communist, and MUCH worse....where is your thread about that?

I see the rhetoric is still going on... sad...

News sites even calling for the use of the military... linky

This country is going south and I'm not sure there's a way out anymore. Things are so bad we can't agree on anything anymore. How can Americans honestly stand here and say that an entire group of Americans that they disagree with are Terrorists?

To all those using the "logic" that casts the Tea Party and Republicans as Terrorists, I ask you this. If tomorrow you wake up and all of the Tea Party and Republicans are in camps and being gassed to death for our beliefs, will you sit back and have a chuckle? Will you drink beer and wine and say we deserved our fate? By calling us Terrorists this is the course of action you are supporting.
