Good day all,

I'm looking for some suggestions for some "upbeat, feelgood" music. Something popular that immediately puts you in a good mood for a project I'm working on. A prime example: Afro Circus... Silly, but you can't help but smile...

I did a quick Google search, but the top results were the likes of "Justin Bieber" and "Taylor Swift" which immediately put me in a bad mood, so I thought I'd try my luck on ATS.

I've also got several others like Black Lace and the French Can Can on the list... So let's see what else is eluding me...

Shooglenifty - The Tammienorrie

Enjoy!

Not everyone's cup of tea but Polyphonic Spree never fail to cheer me up and generate a bit of the 'feelgood factor'.

Skip to EXACTLY 3:24 (EDIT: Starting at 2:10 is nice too, try both!). Hopefully this section of the song is something like you're looking for.

And just for generally feeling good and free...I think this is one of the most beautiful songs ever.

Thank you all! Some great and ... uhm interesting? (
) suggestions!

I've listened to each and every suggestions, and these were the suggestions that were spot on (in the lines I'm looking for):
Carolina Chocolate Drops - Your Baby Ain't Sweet Like Mine - Perfect! Which reminded me of Jambalaya (Hank Williams). I just can't find "the perfect" version for my project.
The Lions Sleep tonight - was already on my list actually.

Shooglenifty - The Tammienorrie. Irish tunes are always a winner.

Asteroids - Golden Age. Forgot about that one. May be a bit on the slow side, but toe-tappingly good.

As for the others.

ROFLMAO! - World of Warcraft - Very catchy/funky, but I'm looking for something a bit more mainstream (read "well known"). I did smile at it though! ROFLMAO indeed!
Walking on Sunshine - A good "feel good song". I've added it to my list and removed it a couple of times as well. It's missing "something" - not sure exactly what...
Big & Rich - Comin' To Your City - I like it, but not quite spot on for what I'm looking for.
Polyphonic Spree "Lithium" - Love it, but not "upbeat" enough.
Monty Python- Absolute classic, but lacks the beat.
Blue man group - May not appeal to the younger and (very) older ages.
D-block & S-te-fan ft. Mc Villain - The Magical Mystery, and Windfields - Good beat, but may be a bit too "club-y".

Toro Y Moi "Never Matter" - Needs to be a bit faster; more beat.
Sum 41, Good Charlotte, Green Day, Bowling For Soup - Great music, but it's going to be a bit "heavy" for some of the audience members.

Light and Day - A bit too slow. But I still like-y.
Sister Nancy Bam Bam - Almost, but a tad too much on the Reggae side.
The Knife - Heartbeats. Sadly waaay too slow.

I had Scissor Sisters' Let's have a Kiki on the list, but the swearing is not going to work.

Keep them coming! My target audience is pretty wide so it must appeal to both children and older folks. And a nice toe-tapping beat. Even if I don't use your suggestion for my project, chances are very good that I'm going to use it for my own personal consumption. And we're sharing music. So it's all good!

Thanks again all!
