South Usa Initial Meteor Sighting Reports-
19SEP2013 John hornyak Round Hill, va 7:30 pm EST 5 seconds S-N Yellow fireball Brighter than moon No All fire than burned out

19SEP2013 Greg Virginia Beach Around 7:30pm est Under 5 seconds SW-NE;left to right;facing NNW Some blue and yellow no noise; looked like a ball of fire with long tail Brighter than any star Couldn't see parts, just disappeared Like a falling star but with a front row seat

19SEP2013 Marsha Hagerstown, MD, USA about 7:30pm EST 4-5 seconds west to east; I was facing south bright orange with white in middle almost as bright as the full moon no it was fairly slow

UK Initial Meteor Sighting Reports-
19SEP2013 JULIE WRIGHT CARDIGAN, UK APPROX 21.45 5 SEC RIGHT TO LEFT WHITE SAME AS THE MOON NO IT FLEW ACROSS THE SKY WITH A SHORT STUMP OF A TAIL. LOOKED THE SIZE OF A PEA TO US. WAS SLOWER THAN A NORMAL METEOR. DIDNT SEE IT BURN OUT. JUST AFTER, THE WIND BLEW QUITE A STRONG GUST BUT BECAUSE WE ARENT EXPERTS IN THIS WE (MY HUSBAND AND I) DONT KNOW IF THIS WAS CONNECTED NOR CAN WE OFFER ANY MORE INFORMATION THAN THIS. IT WAS LIKE A FLARE GOING OFF BUT THIS WAS GOING ACROSS THE SKY.

I don't know if these reports are average and of significance because they do get reported every day like this if you go to a tracking site to check.

Mind you there has been above average sightings the past year. I've seen a few myself.

Will see what others say about this

From my perspective,there has been few not called for.I hope I'm in my boat when the big one hits..

I noticed the best collection of meteors during the perseid showers in August in the UK. Yorkshire. One particular looked like a firework. I did put this down to actually having a clear sky this year.

My window camera here at the mine pick up four flash thru the cloud

Two reason why i cant post the vid now

1. YouTube here at the mine is block

2. each file are about 10 sec long with only a 1.5 sec flash thru the cloud
and are 720x480 avi about 200Mb each.

but here is one I got in March this year at home

instead of starting another thread i'll just add to this one. in texas there was a big one on saturday night around 9pm and then two more on sunday. one at around 8:30 and one at 10. i haven't looked it up.... i just know i have 2 friends that saw the ones last night and the texas storm chasers posted about the one on saturday and got a ton of responses.

Having problem with the signal converter is a
Grass Valley Canopus ADVC-55 Analog to DV Media Converter
only goes up to 720 X 480

Also need to upgrade UFOCapture to newer version to get 1080
will put up picture went it up and running.
