Heres my story...

With this new version of ATS you'll notice on your cell phone you can not see your stats...

I wrote a thread about it...HERE and was presented with a solution by another member... that being, "go to account options and switch your cell to "desktop mode".... which I did.

I was happy, it worked... I could see my stats again

I few days passed with no issues... but if you're someone who uses Iphone you'll know if you also do a lot of surfing on the net eventually you'll have to clear your cache because it slows the phone down quite a bit... Which I did...

This also logs you out of your accounts....

Unfortunately now I can't log into the site on my phone... and I can't log in to switch back to mobile mode either... its also not possible to make another account either. So its a good thing I have a computer, but im sure some aren't so lucky...

Now I believe It is because I switched to desktop mode, but I don't know... IF anyone else has had issues logging in, feel free to present your case here...

I pressed the "complain button" and told my story... didn't get a response...

Two days later I another thread in the "board business"... Help please!


and asked even asked "skepticoverlord" in his very own thread...HELP!! SOS!!

And Ironically didn't get a reply... Or he didn't press the "reply to" button and I happen to miss said reply...

This little problem has literally cut my ATS time in half... which is not a big deal, I have other things to do... but It would be awful nice to have my phone access back...

Either they have no idea what the problem is... or they just don't care...


I mean..... Im only one member out of half a million...

So if you happen to be a person who uses ATS exclusively on your phone... and I know there are a lot of people that do... DO NOT SWITCH TO DESKTOP MODE...

and IF you do... DO NOT LOG OUT!

We might not see you again...

Simple, if it is in desktop mode, you need to put the phone on a desktop to switch it.


Actually I know nothing about phones. I haven't had a cell phone for five years now, I got my first phone in 88. I paid enough to cell phone companies over the years already. I supported the economy for many years.

My computer is in desk top mode... and im sure as hell not going to switch to Mobile on my computer if they can't fix this problem... you might not see ME again!!

That's what trips me out... I don't even want to log out anymore...

I'm on an iPhone in desktop mode, and for a couple of weeks at a time, the phone is my only Internet access.

I sure hope SO is working on this problem, as sometimes for no reason, ats will just log us out.

I don't like mobile mode - it's just not as user friendly, doesn't have the right feel.

I'd hate to be stuck logged out for a whole two weeks or longer

Uhm... there shouldn't be a problem. Switch it to mobile. That setting has nothing to do with what you will see OF THE SITE on your DESKTOP COMPUTER. Purely a mobile phone option.

P.S. Sometimes I cannot seem to be logged in on both my phone and computer. Clear cache on your phone again after settings change, log out on your desktop and try on your phone.

I've tried... You can not access the account settings without logging in an account...

Are you saying switch it on my computer?

Its on mobile right now... on my computer...

Yes. It won't affect or change anything the way you perceive ATS via a desktop computer.

The site doesn't have a Mobile Mode... FOR desktop.. that would be just silly.

Re-cleared the phone?

What happens when you try to login? Does it just shoot you back to the homepage?

I think its an iphone issue. I have android, had the same issue, which i resolved by switching to desktop. With google chrome, i can switch back and forth, at any time, with zero problem.

Agreed. Akragon, I would try downloading a different browser app, or re-installing the current one you are using (Safari or?).

Ahh didn't know that.

I only access ATS on my phone at night when I'm in bed and can't sleep. lol I find it hard to read on my cell and even harder to reply. Although I have made a few threads back in the day on my phone. It wasn't easy either!!

I'll have to check out the new layout and how it looks on my phone.

Back when you first reported it, I tried to replicate your issue on my iPhone and an HTC Android phone... no "luck" as I didn't have any of the same issues on two different ATS accounts on both phones.

The only setting that would be "saved" to the phone would be the light/dark preference. When you set "desktop mode" the preference is attached to your account. If you log-in with a desktop computer or tablet, it doesn't take effect. But if you log-in with a phone, it remembers your preference and uses the style settings for a 1024-wide desktop.

What phone do you have?

And when I clear my cache, it returns to white... I always use dark...

Sorry but the white is butt ugly...

are you not logged in right now? Posting?

Just click on your Account Settings, and find this:



I am on my work laptop right now. If you make that change, it won't change your non-mobile settings. Only your mobile settings.
