Comet ISON and the Ten Plagues of Egypt

I had no idea where to put this so I posted here. Feel free to move Mods if necessary.

Ever since November 2012, just two months after the discovery of Comet ISON, a physicist named James McCanney began referring to the comet as “The Red Comet of Death.” What does this mean? He refers back to the Ten Plagues of Egypt claiming that the plagues were actually caused by a comet that passed bringing about the plagues to the Earth that eventually caused the Egyptian Pharaoh, possibly Ramses II, to free the Israelites creating the biblical story of the Exodus.

McCanney has some theories about comets that totally differ from main stream science and NASA for that matter, which has caused him to become somewhat of a maverick. For 30 years he has proposed a theory about comets being electric, and that they may increase in size to form planets.

First some history on the theory;

The True Origins of the Electric Comet Theory

Here is the hypothesis of Jeurgens and others who agree with the theory;

"As a comet accelerates toward the Sun and electrons are stripped from the comet's surface, it first develops a huge visible glow discharge, or coma, then the discharge switches to the arc mode. This results in a number of bright cathode 'spots' of high current density on the surface, etching circular craters and burning the surface black, giving the surface its extreme darkness. Each arc forms a 'cathode jet' that electrically accelerates the excavated and vaporized material into space."

Although the article describes the origins of Electric Comet Theory, it was McCanney who presented the idea that the comet nuclei ACCRETES as it races towards the sun. From the article;

It was McCanney's hypothesis that cometary nuclei ACCRETE material, and that this accretion process, continuing over long periods of time, would give rise to a PLANET. In contrast to this model, Thornhill's hypothesis predicts the progressive DEGRADATION of comet nuclei, with sharply defined surface features from the electrical etching process. This distinction between the two models amounts to an ACID TEST.
In his article, "The Nature of and Origins of Comets and the Evolution of Celestial Bodies (Part 1), Kronos, Vol. 9, No. 1, Fall 1983, McCanney writes, "...a comet involved in the discharge of the solar capacitor will continue to grow in size and mass...."

"Curved tails, such as in Donati's comet, when it neared the Sun, are a result of the matter in the Zodiacal disk falling into the comet nucleus...."

"This causes a buildup of material on the asteroidal comet nucleus....Comets eventually evolve into planets...."

It was this theory that put him on the outs with astronomers and NASA.

McCanney associates many of the strange weather events and phenomena that I have been writing about to the approaching Comet ISON. He suggests that we are in for a helluva ride, especially when we pass through the comet’s tail in January of 2014.

Basically, what is being presented here is that Comet ISON will interact, or has already begun to interact, with our sun and the interplanetary bodies. McCanney says that the comet is very large and that NASA is downplaying it as a “dirty snowball.” He also says that it has at least one companion and possibly up to 7 which would mean these companions are orbiting the comet and that the comet has a gravitational pull.

When something like this happens, one has to be very cautious, but after examining the data that I have seen, I would say that it appears to be real. Furthermore one of the possible companions appears to be at about two lunar distances (half a million miles) and has not formed a coma for some odd reason. If the object is orbiting the nucleus of the comet at that distance it implies that the nucleus of this comet is possibly as big or bigger than Earth.

He says that NASA tries to minimize the comet nuclei to almost nothing and has done so with this particular comet as well, but he disagrees. They downplay it as small, but McCanney believes it is a large comet.

Back to my original intro to this thread; he suggests that this comet may be “The Red Comet of Death” that may have been the same comet that caused the Ten Plagues of Egypt. After I read this I started doing some google searches. I am only slightly familiar with the biblical story of the Exodus, so I had to do some reading up on it. One thing I found is that Jews believe the Passover Holiday, which they celebrate every year commemorating Moses leading them to freedom from the Pharaoh of Egypt. As I read some sites with information about this, the non-Jewish authors would claim that it isn’t known when these plagues occurred if they occurred at all, but then I read one article written by a Jew and it said the year was 1312 BCE.

Here’s where things got interesting for me. Not too long ago I read an article that suggested the Black Plague was brought about by a comet. People of the day wrote about a great comet that came in 1347, exactly 666 years ago. And we all know about the Great Comet of 1680, exactly 333 years ago. Could Comet ISON be the same comet returning every 333 years? If this is the case and you go back ten of these possible cycles, 3,333 years ago, you come to just 7 years off from the date of 1312 BCE. That’s very close. When you put it into perspective, all of these plagues would have taken some time to manifest, and then the Israelites had to pass through the dessert. By the time they would have settled the Canaan, it would make sense that seven years would have passed.
McCanney claims that a great comet came along back then and caused the Ten Plagues of Egypt, just as some speculated that the comet of 1347 caused the Black Plague that killed a quarter of Europe’s population. I tried to do a search for any major events that may have occurred during the early 1680’s after that comet, but found nothing.

According to this article there is a document in a museum written about a thousand years after the Egyptian Plagues that references terrible events in history.

The Ten Plagues of Egypt

Although written 1,000 years after the plagues would have taken place, the Ipuwer papyrus is an authentic Egyptian document -- and it does describe a series of events that bear a marked resemblance to the biblical plagues: "Lo, the river is blood. As one drinks of it one shrinks from the people. And thirsts for water . . . Lo, all beasts, their hearts shall weep. Cattle bemoan the state of the land . . . Plague is throughout the land. Blood is everywhere . . . Trees are destroyed. No fruit nore herbs are found . . . Lo, the desert claims the land . . . Those who shelter are in the dark of the storm."

What were the ten plagues? First through ten were water turning to blood, frogs, lice, flies, livestock disease, boils, thunder and hail, locusts, three days of darkness and then the death of all firstborn children, excluding the Israelites.

You have to admit, it is quite a coincidence.

It is also quite a coincidence to today’s events. Literally every day there is a massive fish die-off somewhere in the world. The water’s are going bad. There are also die-offs of livestock and other land creatures such as the 100 elk that mysteriously died in New Mexico a couple of weeks back. On the other hand, there are explosions of small critters to, such as the locusts that invaded the Middle East earlier this year, and the cricket explosion in Oklahoma.

We don’t even need to get into all the thunder and hail right now, or the diseases that are erupting all over the planet. Many of you are well-aware of those events.

The article posted above goes into great detail to explain what might have caused these plagues in descriptions we might be familiar with today. It also correlates with the proposed theory about a comet that causes these plagues.

McCanney claims that this comet may be the “Red Comet of Death” and may have already started bringing about action as it interacts with the sun. He says this is why NASA is still talking about the solar maximum that was supposed to have passed already. He says that as the comet nears the sun, it may cause activity.

According to this article about McCanney and his electric comet theory in regards to Comet ISON, NASA is still talking about ‘solar maximum’ despite how quiet the sun has been, and this has scientists generally puzzled;

This article also talks about the Pope resigning this year and statements he made. Could the Pope have known something about this coming comet? It’s well-known that the Vatican watches the skies looking for something. Could they believe this comet may be Wormwood as described in the book of Revelation?

Wormwood means extremely bitter. Could a star, such as a comet, turn the waters of the earth bitter? Could this same star have turned the waters bitter 3,333 years ago creating the plagues of Egypt?

Rev. 8:10-11: The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water– the name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.

It’s also quite interesting how there have been so many reports of strange sky noise over the past two years, some claiming the noise is that of a trumpet.

When Pope Benedict resigned, he made a comment, “The time for testing is here. We must not use God for our own ends.” An interesting quote to make.

The thing that I thought was most interesting about all of this is the comet itself. Aside from all the doom porn, you have to admit the eeriness of the Great Comet every 333 years from 1437 to 1680 and now. But, also to how close that time frame leads to what year the Jews celebrate their Passover holiday, 3,333 years. That would make this pass of Comet ISON the tenth return since those days of Moses and the Israelites.

Great reading! Come's to mind about how people have said the Sky Is Falling. Thinking about this just How would the sky actually Fall? Something falling from the sky is the only possible thing I could come up with.

You brought up 1312 BCE. As of right now is there not a school from TX looking for answeres that something fell from the sky that hit the US back in that time frame?

Planet X could have been an comet or the missing link between Mars and Jupter, something was there and either got smashed by one or broke up by a comet. It would be intersting if other planets do have a oblong pattern like our comets do.

They always come back like clockwork; so maybe our little place we call home is way bigger then we know. We see it as flat, all 10; opp's 9 now planet's in a line. No one wants to concider that others do go a different path. I can see why comets bring such a fear to people, people die every so hundred yrs when they come around.

That would have to explain that Life outside out little planet, Exist. Somehow even if we could go to Mar's; coming soon, you could not breath the air anyway. Another Earth, with air would kill us anyway.

A comet becoming a Planet though; sure stranger things could happen. What would have to slow it down enought to keep it in an orbit around the sun? Other then hitting another planet, clipping one or going into a gas planet like Jupter!

S&F for a thread that will probably fill my thoughts for a couple of days. As I have time, I will research some of this information / theory more in depth. Not a lot of doom porn grabs my attention, but this did (No offense intended). Could be based on a faulty premise or information, but anything that predicts possible impacts to water supply and/or historical patterns gives me pause.

I'm guessing the trumpets happen in chronological order, so this would have to happen first, at the very least.

Very good article. S&F. I think there is something to all these old texts. If someone analyzed the timing they may be able to predict something. I am sure that the Vatican knows if this comet may cause problems, they have knowledge that they do not leave out because doing so may create chaos and the information is an association or high quality coincidence, there could be variables that make it non relevant.

If this comet is big, it could interact with the solar system. The guy writing the article is right, NASA would not tell us if something is possibly in the future, they would not want to create chaos and there is no evidence recorded that shows anything will definitely happen again. All of our scientific agencies are like that, they are bound to policies that state not to incite civil unrest and panic. If they do and nothing happens, it would destroy people's faith in them. At least they could tell us there is probability that something may happen, giving us odds would be nice.

It doesn't really make any difference if something happens or not. I do not have a bunker. I will continue to live my life as I have been, studying foods and antidotes. Kind of makes me wonder though, what makes water bitter and also turn red.

Maybe the comet is made of cinnabar or something containing arsenic. I thought Arsenic is usually a green glow though. Molybdenum ores might turn water red but that is because of it's chelation properties. It wouldn't really make the water bitter though. Hard to say, I only know of a couple of different possible reasons for colors in asteroids and comets. I am far from an expert in this subject. Heck, I am far from a novice, reading twenty articles on this subject is hardly nothing at all. Some people have been studying this sort of stuff all their life.

I enjoyed the thread. Very thought provoking. According the to Bible the Israelites wandered the desert for 40 years after leaving Egypt before entering Canaan, not seven. I have read some theories about the ten plagues being caused by a massive volcano eruption but I haven't come across a comet theory before.

why is it that every known comet out there is about to cause havoc on earth...It think it was Elenin until recently.

I'm just waiting for the Haley Bop to pull breaks and reverse course... straight to earth...since none of these pussy comets manage to do any real damage.

And the number of the beast is 666, apparently those in the know would know, I find the coincidence on the amount of years in the proposed cycle of the comet kind of interesting. What is also interesting is Obama's similar appearance to Ramses II.

from all indications comet ISON is making Its' first entry into the inner Solar System

not saying a long period comet or asteroid ~a 333 yr return~ is unlikely...
but this theoretical ISON returning for the 10th or 11th trip...now that is UNlikely


Haley is right at 75 years orbit...& i bet one could do the math and justify Haley's Comet as being the 10 Plagues of Egypt comet or even the 'Star' of Bethelem for that matter

This pic is from a hail storm that dropped nearly two feet of hail this summer in New Mexico.

The hail, some of which was golf-ball and paint-ball sized, according to a report from the Guadalupe County Communicator, damaged some roofs and skylights as it fell non-stop for 20 minutes.

"I have lived here all my life and I have never seen this," Guadalupe County Manager George Dodge told The Communicator as he drove around the city surveying the damage.

I also remember reading a story about a region in India that had boulder-sized hail strike it this year. I'm not talking softball, but boulders.

And red waters...I went swimming in a red lake a few weeks ago, Solberg Lake in Phillips, WI. Locals said it was from Tannin in the logging operations but I've spent nearly my entire 40 years in northern WI around these logging operations and I've never seen a red lake before.

Nice thread. I love the hypothesis. I don't necessarily believe it nor do I discount it either. I'm rather excited to see ISON and I hope it lives up to the hype visually. But you're right, I see a lot of astronomers now downplaying it.

Then there is also a opportunity here to test the theory of whether comets played a role starting life on earth.

Was actually looking for the thread I replied in this morning about the comet, this I think needs to be brought to the forum for further thoughts and discussions as we approach the finalization of Government preps such as the MREs, Military training exercises and FEMA region III plans for flooding , to name just a couple of the synchronicity surrounding the Oct. 1st date. On the other thread it was brought up that HAARP has been shut down and what the reasons for that might be. I think the link below is also telling when considering why we are being pushed to be at ready.

I'm not suggesting that this is the BIG ONE! I'm simply stating that if it is indeed the same comet that came during biblical times, then it may wreak some havoc or it may not. If this comet is returning every 333 years then it would appear to be a hit or miss each time...that's if it did indeed bring about the Black Plague in 1347, but then nothing in 1680. Who know's...either way, I'm betting that it will be the comet of the century and we're in for quite a show.
