(Before Janet Jackson and Britney....before Gaga and Monifah....we had Jane. She pioneered the techniques that are now the standards in pop music by which all is measured. She was ahead of her time and unfortunately WAY ahead of the curve...so much so that few could really enjoy what she had created. Except for a few singles she disappeared into obscurity but every pop sensation should tip their hat to her as she was the trailblazer who started the industry towards the modern pop nightmare that the music industry became. Not sure if thats a glaring endorsement or an barbed accusation!)
