and yet, he succeeded in what he was trying to accomplish....he stopped the use of gas...post after post have said all the nasty, tired statements about how bad Obama handled this... it seems that people are blind to what the original goal was.

Got to love this. Russia gets to avoid being embaressed by Syria getting smacked and it unable to do anything. The US gets to avoid attacking something Obama was trying to find anyway to avoid. The Russians now have to make sure Syria complies and if they do not they not say boo when the West hits Syria for failing. The real loser is Assad. You can bet the Russians did not ask him about making the deal they told him what that not he would be turning over the weapons he was denying he had to beging with. The rebels get a new surge in arms and funding. Have to give Russia credit they were so desperate to avoid being seen as helpless they took an off the cuff remark and ran with it. It would be great if this would work with Iran as well.
