If the international community wants to get involved, they should sent peacekeepers, not bombs. We can't afford another military conflict.

Could it be that this destabilization and AQ gaining control of Syria is exactly what the Obama administration wants? If AQ takes over Syria after a "failed" U.S. attack, then there is ample threat to the U.S> to actually go full tilt whoopass on Syria, right?

Illegal. War Crime. Why are those terms so hard to understand?

Yah they are easy to understand, Syria used chemical weapons so Syria has both illegal and war crime associated with it.

The US can exercise it's sovereignty to act against Syria for using chemical weapons. The UN can also if Russia, Syria's ally who gave them the means to use chemical weapons, would not block UN action.

Go tell Russia to do the right thing, then you won't have to bash on the US or endure another display of US military superiority.

You tell em tinny my brother, who care about the UN it is dysfunctional and will never work so we go it alone.

We need to nuke em be done with it just get it over with know more weapons, boom they gone.

Same applies to Iran nuke em and be done with it.

So Tin,

Your saying that Al Qaeda are our friends now?

And your logic is.....

Syrians killed Syrians, so now we must kill Syrians..

Nope not saying any of that.
Already explained in previous post, but it is funny you ignore it so you can keep your red herring.

I said our policy is to supply native Syrians with aid as the competing jihadists make their play, this was outlined by the Obama administration and is part of the public record. They are two separate entities but in order for you to keep your red herring you have to pretend they are the same and not competing for control of Syria.

Syrian's on the side of Assad's regime used chemical weapons according to the EU in this story.

The mind numbing dumbed down internet meme of,

Syrians killed Syrians, so now we must kill Syrians..

Is nothing more than an attempt to defend Assad's regime using ignorance on a grand scale.

That is an interesting conspiratorial angle.

The same was done to the Muslim Brotherhood, they were given enough rope to hang themselves with. They will never again attain legitimate seats of power after Egyptians summarily ousted them after one year at the helm.

www.aina.org...

Thing is, most of these "rebels" aren't even Syrian.

Saddam's regime is gone and his minority sect does not rule the majority in Iraq any longer. You cannot imagine any larger change than that, and it is real.

And at what cost?Nervermind the fact that most Iraqis say they were better off under Saddam. Nevermind the fact that millions of Iraqi civilians have been killed and displaced. Nevermind the fact that there is so much DU in and around Baghdad that babies are being born with all sorts of birth defects. Nevermind the fact that is was all started over a lie about chemical weapons (Deja Vu?)

The obvious lie you insinuated is that Putin and Obama are the same as Assad who used chemical weapons. Your statement is as far from the truth as possible, while protecting Assad through false association.

So somehow Obama dronestriking the hell out of all sorts of innocent people is better than kids dying in a chemical weapon attack? please explain to me how.

Putin also keeps our whistle blowers snug and cozy, look at Snowden. That issue is unrelated to Assad's regime using chemical weapons.

Funny thing is, Snowden would have never had to seek asylum in Russia if the Obama administration had kept its word about "protecting" whistleblowers.

The fact that you don't like the US President legally acting in the legal War on Terror hunting down terrorists the world over has nothing to do with Assad's regime using chemical weapons.

If you still believe that this "War on Terror" is about hunting down terrorists, then I really don't have anything to say on this asinine obvious troll of a thread.

If Assad is guilty of using gas on people, then let the world deal with it.
It's not our job. It's not our business to spend American blood and money
for a 'shot across the bow'. Let the rest of the world deal with him.
We are not the world's police.

Only US has the ability to carry out the attack from 1000 miles and much more efficiently. The planned strikes are limited in nature and other arab nations have agreed to pick the tab. Atleast they have offered to.

The point is not muddling in other nation's civil war. The major issue is to make any example that anyone or regime or group or organization using WMDs will be punished severely for violating the dignity of the human race. Soon we will be making meat in the labs so that animals are not killed and here is some psychopath gassing the humans to get some sick point across. Not Acceptable at all !!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Mr. Kerry for keeping the up the ante on the strikes. Punishment has to occur otherwise other rabid rats will come out and start using CWs and other WMDs with relish.

If there is so much evidence why don't we see some.

Its like a judge figuring out someone's sentence before the trial starts.

No one's being fooled. This is such a dodgey contrivance and only those with a pro Obama or Neg Assad lean gobble it up without thought.

There's plenty of evidence that many US politicians are plain evil, why aren't we preparing the noose for them?

This Tin Foil creature seems to just want more bloodshed. Lets all put in for a 1 way ticket to Syria and he can get his freak on.

It's a done deal now, Assad is finally going to get rid of his chemical weapons, France is going to propose a resolution in the Security Council that Russia and China will finally not block with their votes, the proposal will condemn the chemical weapons attack officially on record and set the stage for ensuring Assad complies or be the basis for future UN military action.

Here are the idiots that are going to Syria, sounds like you would fit right in. They never considered that they are entering a war zone where control of territory fluctuates. If they get caught as supporters of Assad they won't be hailed as champion activists that is for sure. Expect to see a lot of Darwin Award recipients from this bonehead move.

Hmmm, people seeing that an attack on Syria is unjust are willing to put their lives at stake are idiots.

Cowards regurgitating whitehouse lies, screaming for more blood, ignoring logic and reason are what? Despicable gits like yourself that should go play in traffic. Go join the military, you really seem to agree with aggressive militant action, go for your life. The best contribution you could make is to give your life for.... well anything, fertilizer would do.

A couple weeks before the attack Ron Paul said he was worried they were going to do a false flag. Paul is probably on Assad's side though, and knew Assad was going to launch these attacks... SMH

"Basis for future UN Military action"

This is a tricky language. Even if Assad complies he can still be hit and attacked as US and allies can say he is not giving up ALL or they have intelligence that he is planning this or that or already making new CWs etc........Iraq 2003 disinformation all over again. They will use this 'in the plan resolution' to have full scale intervention in Syrian civil war........Libya all over again.

Russia and others should be very careful when drafting the language of the resolution.

Why I am getting more and more convinced that in 2-3 years Russia and China will be on the line of facing the direct attack from US and NATO. NWO agenda finds it's way forward even if it meets some hurdle. Russians are still half a sleep, vodka drunk.

Haven't read all the responses, but a recent Sorcha Faal intelligence report indicated that the chemical weapons were actually used by the rebels(reportedly unknowlingly) and that those weapons were in fact supplied by the Saudis. To date the US has not provided any aerial/satellite imagery with respect to these weapons from what I understand.

Sorcha Faal has no intelligence of any kind, literally.
That hoax site is not allowed to be referenced on ATS, for good reason.
