EU to US: Assad Guilty of Syria Gas Attack, but no military backing before UN Report

The European Union says the Syrian government was the likely perpetrator of the Damascus chemical attack on August 21, but that it will not be rushed into any military action before an official UN report is released.

"Information from a wide variety of sources confirms the existence of such an attack and seems to indicate strong evidence that the Syrian regime is responsible for this attack," EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said in a statement following a meeting between European foreign ministers and US Secretary of State John Kerry in the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius on Saturday.

Well, I think that it has been a good idea not to rush into war and present a clear case for Assad using chemical weapons. As we can see here, that strategy is going to gain EU support.

I think that it is also a good idea to wait for the UN report. That is going to come out in three more weeks, however - I linked to The Guardian about that, below.

In addition, German intelligence is reporting that Assad has already used chemical weapons up to 14 previous times, and that in those cases, they were diluted, but in this case, they may have accidentally been stronger than expected.

I guess the problem with the UN Report is that it is going to take another 3 weeks until it is released.

Honestly, that is a drawback, responding to a chemical attack more than a month after it happens. On the other hand, it is good to wait for the evidence.

If there is another chemical attack or terrorist attack, that could escalate things.

I decided to give you guys some maps, you probably already know these area being avid ATS users, but I find maps helpful. Especially the Syrian one. I did not know it bordered Iraq, for example.

I think that this article shows that the E.U. might support the U.S. in the event of a conflict, as well as the U.N., which is interesting because I wasn't so sure about the E.U. due to the Snowden incident, and the U.N. could have come out with an inconclusive report, at best.

The EU and the rest of the Fascists have been bought out by John Kerry, Obama and Israhell. Hence straight after Kerry's visit with the EU the decision was made. Assad is not guilty of this attack. Any idiot can see that fact!

Here's a headline for you:

Busted: UK-US Backed Terrorist Doubles as Rebel Fighter AND fake Sarin Gas Attack Victim

'US- and UK-supported and supplied terrorists hired both to murder people, including slaughtering them with poison gas, but also to act as crisis actors in order to create the justification for US and UK interventionism on behalf of the Zionist regime.

Countless hundreds of hired terrorist moles, Arab-Muslim in appearance, are acting on behalf of the US-UK-Israeli axis as crisis actors, which is a major revelation and which, therefore, proves that the entire claim by Obama of the need for a humanitarian strike against Syria is a categorical fraud.

If nato didnt give weapons to the people who supposedly caused 9-11 in usa, then obviously there wouldnt be any serious conflict in syria. The terrorists would have been rounded up, tried and punished accordingly.

It should be easy to spot nato bias for months now, as they blame everything on assad and nothing on the muslim brotherhood dominated rebels.

The EU are a bunch of hypocrites and no better than nato, which lets remember compromises nato anyway for the most part.

I am not saying assad never gassed anyone, but to put all the blame on assad is outright fraudulent, shameful and agenda driven.
