Interfax: 4 Russian ships head for Syria

It looks like they want to 'even the odds' a little bit !!

This is apparently coming from Russian Navel HQ.

Associated Press
MOSCOW
Three Russian naval ships were sailing toward Syria in the eastern Mediterranean on Friday and a fourth was on its way, the Interfax news agency reported, citing a source at navy headquarters.

Kremlin chief of staff Sergei Ivanov said Thursday that Russia was boosting its naval presence in the Mediterranean Sea, but primarily in order to organize a possible evacuation of Russians from Syria. He did not say how many vessels were being sent.

The prospect of increased Russian naval presence near Syria has stoked fears of a larger international conflict if the United States orders airstrikes over an Aug. 21 chemical weapons attack in a suburb of Damascus, the Syrian capital. The U.S. already has numerous war ships in the Mediterranean.

Interfax: 4 Russian ships head for Syria

Will we see a navel battle ?

Will it start if a mystery '3rd party' shoots first and the U.S. or Russian ships take the bait ?

Or will this simply create a stalemate ?

Now What !!

The leaders of the world don't even live in the same reality as most of us. To them, this is nothing more than a game of Battleship.

Anyone who`s going into Syria right now is heading for a bad ride .

The Russians are a lot more powerful than the U.S , hence Russia being the only country on the face of the earth that can bitch slap Obama and send his ass to bed with no supper .

The Russian war machine , combined with the abilities , population and technology of China , We might be about to see the fall of the self proclaimed " world leaders " .

I would bet anything that that would change immediately if they were forced to enlist if they vote for an invasion.

Where did you get this info? The Pentagon isn't scared of Russia. Look at an atlas and look at the countries where the Americans are stationed. Look at Syria, Russia and Iran, look who's on their doorstep. American military planners are not stupid.

But it says:

but primarily in order to organize a possible evacuation of Russians from Syria.

So I'm assuming these are transports or something...

What IF they're loaded with troops.

What IF Russia decides to 'help' Assad with boots on the ground ?

Russia might have more at stake than the U.S.

I have no idea why people want to believe that the US military is just a bunch of rag tag soldiers and sailors with antiquated weapons and armor.

Somehow i am in disbelief that it will come that far.
But then again, this is nothing new, just sobering to wake up to the fact that nothing shall ever change and humanity just keeps repeating the same mistakes.

i don't like Putin at all, just don't trust the guy. But when it comes to Syria, who the Russians have been suppying arms to on a regular basis for a long time now, Their intel would be the first thing i'd look at because no nation is going to sell arms to a nation without knowing whos hands those arms might possibly fall into and take precautions to prevent said arms from falling into the wrong hands. Well, cept Obama, but he cares more for his poll numbers then he does the effect his actions have lol

S**t's starting to get real now..

Putin said it himself couple of days a ago "show us the evidence before you attack"...Simple

If the U.S attack without showing this evidence Putin's gonna start dropping bomb's himself..

I think the term MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX covers what we're saying.

Russia isn't dumb, they aren't going to send in their ships to protect Syria. They have a better chance protecting them from home. They're not going to square off with the U.S. Navy. What's this assumption that they'd put boots on the ground? They'd just be sending them in to die.

It is only a matter of time, before some country stands up to America and says: you wont dictate to the rest of the UN/World,you wont invade whatever country doesnt become a puppet or a us clone.
Which is fine but they will drag nemourous other countrys into their game of world domination.
Its the poor that do the dying, whilst the politicains and the rich reap the rewards.
There seem to be alot of silly children on here who think it will be fun and is just a big game, perhaps because the US has never experienced real war,I mean bombs being dropped on your citys. You like your wars fought on other people countrys.
The media pump you up and out come the flag wavers,

Silly children?

Flag wavers?

Where?

If stating that people tend to greatly undermine the military might of the US makes me a flag waver then so be it in your head.
edit on 6-9-2013 by cry93 because: (no reason given)

A generalism,of a few different threads on the Syria/Russian/America and how some posters seem to think its some sort of strategy board game.

There will never be some "country." We will never see the day bombs drop on our cities. You'd need our allies abandoning us and even then it'd just be a world ending war. No country has the chance to make it toward U.S. soil, you'd have to do it from the inside, and even then you have agencies like NSA watching your every step. You must be watching too much "Red Dawn", and "White House Down" type movies.

You're the one that seems to think it's a strategy board game. You make it sound so simple. I say the U.S. isn't attacking Syria, and if they decided to no country is dumb enough to play hero.

Empires end.
History tells us there have been plenty of lunatics in charge of countries who may well think they can win a nuclear war.
Personally i think wars should only be conducted to defend your own country or nato countrys if your in that alliance.
"and if they decided to no country is dumb enough to play hero." the big bad bully boy answer,we will do as we want because we are bigger than you.

It is obvious you wrote that to just get attention.
Search within Moscow Times website, "Even Putin admits $10B military overhaul is a failure"
Their army's recent exercise confirmed they can muster 100,000 to a location in one piece...but just barely.
Narcissistic much?
