And your OP isn't going to help the division any. Especially with lines like...

We the united states have spanked you in the past...

We have spanked you all and no red coat will stop my freedom of speech no matter how moderated it is.

Your indignance and posturing will only cause more indignance and posturing. If you want to pull people together, rather than cause more division, this isn't the way to do it. Besides...

This topic has been done to death on ATS by Americans, Brits, Aussies, Muslims, etc. It never gets resolved. It only creates a wider gulf between the cultures.

Yeah cmon folks were all human beings all # from the same place us people should stick together n not lower our selves to the level of our so called leaders

We the united states have spanked you in the past and low brow cynical rhetoric doesnt help or unify our common issue, the coming syria war. The white house is surroundedby a angry ghetto and we the people believe in us, the people.

We are protesting, the last protest i remember overseas ended up smashing up a city block i believe it was over g20. Stop the v for vendetta crap because it was a fictional movie.

Do you know your history?
There where 7,000 British Army Redcoats in the 13 Colonies. There mission was to protect the colonists.Without the "Redcoats" the colonies would not have flourished. Therefore resulting in no USA.

Yeah, honestly, I don't really know what he is mad at...exactly. If you could put your anger into one sentence, it would be helpful to me, to understand.

I am angry that americans are portrayed, stereotypical. That werenot doing anything. Its only been a week. And the citizens being blamed for the administration warmongering

I think a few on this thread have proven the OP correct. Why are some of you advocating Americans take up arms? You don't even like our right to bear arms!

Why, yes, yes we can!

That was one bizarre rant !

Sometimes thruth hurts.

So if you are upset of politics of your country, i don´t really see how does it involve other countries that are not US as they do not make decisions for your behalf.

If i read you right. You hate your own goverment and you hate all the other countries in the world, but you are patriot who loves your country. You are so Pi#¤#ed off right now that you are "ready to nuke " everyone else in this planet and blaime them but still will suffer with your own goverments faults..

Anyway your topic is very confusing..

grow a skin.. that what my father would say.

What crap?

If you don't know then you're certainly not qualified to give advice on the crap going on here in US!

There are other options besides taking up arms. That is a last resort, and certainly not your call.

Spanked us in the past?

Maybe comments like this is why you are getting negative comments from others.

Grow up man. Stop being so sensitive.

If I made comments like this I would not be surprised to get abuse back.

It is stereotypical profiling you are correct. It's my understanding though that it's also displaced hatred and frustration and it's moreso directed towards our gov't as most other nations do actually get along with Americans on a face to face basis.

The most anti American comments on ATS come from Americans hating on their government and president. We just watch from the sidelines.

Sorry!

I'm talking about the failed, socialist, police state utopia that is Europe. I don't want advice from people whose country has long since gone down the drain. That's like getting diet/exercise tips from a fat guy!

You only killed Bin Laden because of British help/advice, the only conflicts you have ever won/came better off in was with British (and other nations, particularly commonwealth) help.

The second the British say no, your Government throws a hissyfit and run to the French, making us out to be the bad guys.

It is us that should be pissed, but not with you, the American citizen, with your government.

We are your allies, but above all we are your friends, and despite your government acting like children with ours, when things go pear shaped during your strike on Syria (if it happens), I have no doubt we will come running to back you up.

Its ok. I live in europe, its not bad at all. I was just joking with the police earlier today.l They are really cool here.;Who told you it was so bad?

They even arrange local dinners and get togethers for the locals. Have raffles and give away bottles of wine. They are cool.

the Chief also manages the local amateur football team, they are getting promoted to the next league. Its all cool here. Not sure about other European countries. We are different.

The sad truth is, be it in the US the UK or the (Europe)an union, people seem comfortably at ease with the feeling they can't change anything anyway, so we just let it go, while gradually more and more our rights privacy and safety is taken away.
Must we look at each other? or should we look in the mirror.

Everywhere it is the same.

And what can we really do about it?

It's Anti-American to not point out corruption in government. It may seem like "hating" on Obama, but there is a LOT the man does that should be hated and spoken against. The same thing happened when Bush and his cronies were at it...

I think more people hate on bad choices and stupid decision making, the US (government agencies/politicians/employees) is just doing a really good job of sticking their neck out. They have a target on their back already, and lately they've been messing up a lot.

It sucks for the hard working, decent people that live there and just want to have a normal life without the interference of others that have nothing to do with them.

The same can be said for people across the world for that matter, haha.

We all know ( i believe so ) that when Vietnam war started and continued on was not American people who wanted that but war was forced by the goverment. Do we blaime citizens about it? NO

What we see is that system doesn´t work. It´s a shame if you US citizens take that personally when the system is criticized by others. There is not such a thing as perfection.

I have watched what i voted for become a destructive monster in the past week and feel at fault for what has and will be going on in syria. I blame myself. This wasnt what the potus promised us at all. I'm more progressive liberal and feel betrayed. This war was the last straw. And the comments ignited inside me. Can you blame me for being a dumb american lol
