Deny Ignorance logo, a pointless phrase?

This forums catch phrase is as we all know is 'Deny Ignorance'

Yet one persons truth is anothers ignorance, one persons reality is anothers fantasy. So the question has to be asked.

what is 'Deny Ignorance' one persons meat is anothers poison. So effectivly the one cancels out the other.

Well it makes people feel good about themselves if they deny they are ignorant
They feel superior & smug, imbued with a spirit of tolerance and humanity.
Some will remain so even when faced with the challenge to find out for sure.
Not choose sides and guess ,study. Study Islam.
If you dont get this right nothing else will matter.

I don't think it is pointless.

Relativism of truth exists, thats true.
But denying ignorance is not about who is right, it is about questioning what you know, what YOU think is the "truth". It is about opening your mind to the fact that maybe you do not know the truth, that there is more to reality then FOX News.

Well said paperclip - I have to concur totally.

If more and more people question what they know, eventually, in time, s/one, s/where, will get to the truth and it probably won't be what most of us expect.

I think that more intelligent people are quieter about what they know because most of the people that they encounter live only by what they see, feel, etc. Alot of laws were made (as well as religions) to keep people from going out of control as the truth would shatter their lives. It would be an outrage to some of these people if they discovered that some of these conspiracies were, in fact, the truth, which would then cause an immediate decline in the 'order' that governs how we live. Being civil to one another would cease to exist.

People need to find the truth for themselves or they're more than likely not going to believe it.

I'm not sure what your point is rusti. Deny Ignorance basically means... inform yourself. This slogan has little to do with opinions.
