I would like anyone to try answering these questions.... Where does the wind come from? Who put the wind in motion? Who put the seasons in motion? Who put the planets in motion? Who created the water? Can scientist create water? Who gave humans eyes to see? Where does wisdom reside? Where does knowledge come from?

Where does God come from?

One of the most mysterious things to me personally is WHY most believe what they are told by known liars.

Scientists are not ALLOWED to look for the truth...

Science WORKS......

As evidenced by the symphony of electrical components that has enabled you to show just how ridiculous your position actually is...

Yet another sensational statement with absolutely no evidence to corroborate it. Why am I not surprised?

See my response above. Oh, and that little quote? "...if you ask questions you'll be working at McDonald's tomorrow" Yeah, that quote right there. Please explain to me how science operates without inquiry. That's like driving a car without gasoline. Are you seriously attempting to push that kind of case?

If that argument survives for even an hour on the street corner, it will only be because you've burned every lucky star at your disposal...and perhaps a few loaners as well.

We exist because he exists. If he didn't exist we wouldn't exist either. Chaos doesn't create order. It took order to create the earth in the perfect spot relative to our star, with the perfect conditions to support advanced multicellular life. Order and perfection are not born of chaos. There was no "big bang", there was "let there be light" and the void obeyed.

Perhaps you can solve this great mystery.

Why does everyone who says "god exists" seemingly turn out to have the IQ of a first grader?

Perfection? Where? Order? Where? Everything is colliding and decaying.

We exist because he exists.

And how does he exist? Where did he come from? What is his precise nature, and how does that coincide with the laws of physics we have thus far observed? And if it doesn't coincide, what evidence do you have that such a contradiction is possible? And what evidence do you have that such a possibility does in fact apply to such a being as your god? There's a lot of questions you have left unanswered here.

Chaos doesn't create order

Chaos is survival of the fittest at work. Chaos removes that which works less effectively to make room for that which works more effectively, until something that works even more effectively comes along. Survival of the fittest isn't just a biological mechanism, it's also a device of physics.

It took order to create the earth in the perfect spot relative to our star

No. I don't have the exact figures, but there's nothing precise about the Earth's position in relation to the sun. It varies greatly. And here's a question - why is the Earth an oval instead of a perfect sphere? You'd think that would make a nice touch, right?

Physics. Pure and simple physics determined the shape of the earth, it's position, the speed at which it orbits the sun, the angle at which it tilts and the rate of its axial rotation. All of it was determined by the physics of happenstance events.

Order and perfection are not born of chaos. There was no "big bang", there was "let there be light" and the void obeyed.

So your explanation is "wait a second, something out of nothing and order out of chaos is way too ridiculous an explanation, so let's say the invisible flying spaghetti monster did it."

...Well, that is an interesting response.

Can't answer all of them but as for the wind .. Hot air rises cool air sinks inbetween you have air currents when the two types of air mix .. That's your wind. Something like that anyway. There are winds on a lot of planets, if god created them why isn't there anything living (that we know of) things on those planets

So just because there is wind on a planet, there just absolutely have to be life? That doesn't make sense

The seasons well the earth is on an axis .. The earth tilts in certain directions giving different seasons I'm sorry but god doesn't exist.. With all the crap going on in the world maybe god did exist at one point but he/she but now they see what the human race has become and god has got the hell out of here

You just don't know if God exists or not. All the crap of the world is because of "people." But for some reason, "people" look at all the crap that "people" do, and say there isn't a God because of what "people" do

Give me a break.

Why does the earth tilt on it's axis? Gravity. Why is there gravity? Why is there light? Why did that big bang happen?

Where do atoms get there instruction to form a baby, or a flower, or a planet.

What is the coding behind the rules of physics for this universe, and will these rules be universal across other universes?

Why are there set limits rules in the reality and who/what set them?

Good stuff!!!!

Um... I don't know about you but whenever I've seen an explosion it tend to create a large flash (light). I imagine the Big Bang (being the largest explosion since ever) would create an ENORMOUS amount of light. So technically, God could have just said "Let there be light," snapped his fingers, and then BOOM, Big Bang.

There was no "big bang", there was "let there be light" and the void obeyed.

More like, "...and the void exploded." I mean I'm an agnostic now, but when I was Christian that's what I thought had happened. Rather make science work with religion then try to fight science.

As for your other points, you make it seem like the very small probability of all the variable lining up to create life (as we know it, must stress this part since life could exist elsewhere with entirely different parameters to sustain it.) seems to indicate that God exists. Can I extrapolate from this that you believe that nowhere else in the infinite (take note of this word) cosmos these variables couldn't line up again? Simple probability states that an event with a chance to occur no matter how small given an infinite timeframe approaches 100% probability. So given the infinite cosmos, it was inevitable that humans would develop on this planet under these conditions.

No! You're wrong! It was the kentarite, the ancient ancestor of the ufrack species! The kentarite created the universe after urinating on a pile of its own excrement! The ufracks are tiny cells that were gathered from the kentarite's digestive system as the waste left its majestic body, and we share this reality with the ufracks as microbes enjoying the fetid byproduct of the legendary kentarite's glorious diet of autocannibalism! ALL HAIL THE EXALTED KENTARITE!!! YOU CANNOT PROVE ME WRONG!!!

...Whew. Irrationality is a really tiring exercise.

Most creationists believe in a superior intelligence, you believe that "superior intelligence" is within you, that you can be anything you want to be, and do anything you wish to do in accordance with what you "believe" will make you happy. I read another of your threads and understand some of your views, I see them as completely logical. You preach against fear, but have you overcome fear? I'm sure deep down inside you fear will always have it's place, please pray tell, how does one overcome fear towards nature? Can you live in harmony with wild animals? It's said that wild animals attack us when they sense fear (since fear means we regard them as a threat and in turn, they regard us as such). Your disbelief in a supreme deity is understandable since you've never seen first hand evidence of his existence, or experienced him in any which way. What's grave in this matter is that you're content with living in fear (you can't deny this) and dying with it. Can you please present a firmly established method by which one can overcome fear?

You say "definitely not God" who created water, and throwing Genesis 1:2 in your post as a closer. You missed the most important verse. Genesis 1:1.

He created Earth and the Universe in verse 1. With Earth comes all the elements.

On another note. Scientists can make water. They can't "make" Oceans. It is way above our knowledge: Creation of Earth and its elements, Creation of the Universe, Creation of Man etc. We are answering questions we cannot fathom with knowledge of the flesh. While on earth we will not ever know how God created what He did. We come up with all excuses using science which science itself only have theories for.

Scientist have come with many "this is how" and years later "okay, maybe this is how". We learn with time, but we will never know how it was created. It is way above us, we seek the answers/theories we can come up with, with our knowledge, which is puny.

Certain things has been claimed as fact by science, which is still not fact, but get taught to kids in school.

There was a gap between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. More clarity can be gotten with research, but no true answers.

Here is a vast body of rigorous, mathematical evidence for the existence of transcendental intelligence sometimes called "God":
smphillips.8m.com...
This is not really the sort of link that works for a thread with a title like this because it will take you six months to study and master the research material, so it does not permit quick comments. But then difficult questions cannot be answered simply without hard work. If you seek hard, irrefutable evidence instead of endless debating points and rhetoric about this perennial question, look here.

Where did you get that from? Because that was among the most awesome posts I have ever encountered in the religion forum on ATS. That stuff was effing brilliant. I'd love to see what the zealots have to say to it, because I just about cried laughing at it. Nah, I'm kidding, but that's some seriously good reading material right there. Thank you for posting it - it's a breath of fresh air.

LoL, George has always been an idol of mine.

I'm glad you liked it, you should also read what he has to say about "The American Dream".

Here is a vast body of rigorous, mathematical evidence for the existence of transcendental intelligence sometimes called "God":

So...because physics isn't a complete bomb-out failure, we assume an intelligence must be responsible? For all we know, this universe is neither the first nor the last. For all we know, this universe is one of a googolplex to the infinite exponent number of autonomous attempts that have all eventually failed as a result of its autonomy. You cannot even say for a fact that this universe isn't one of the most immediate failures in such a vast line of attempts. Perhaps our limited perspective only makes it appear successful.

If it works at first, there is no need to chalk it up to intelligent design. It just means that out of an infinite number of attempts, there will be an infinite number of degrees of varying success and failure, and each degree will be demonstrated an infinite number of times. That "rigorous mathematical evidence for the existence of transcendental intelligent" is nothing more than survival of the fittest. Do you honestly expect a non-intelligently designed particle to oppose the laws of physics and survive? Apparently, everyone here thinks success is synonymous with intelligence. That has never been the case. Sometimes, success means choosing the path of least resistance because that is what the laws of physics demand.

That's not intelligence. That's nature.
