It looks as though his removal was due to his personal political beliefs and the fact he did not put 2016: Obama's America at the top of a nomination list.

I agree with that decision. It was a bad film and to nominate it would be like nominating Alex Jones for one of his "documentaries".

But in the end...this was all about politics.

Hollywood is very, very political. It's unfair to single out Michael Moore. The Academy is made up of peers (directors pick best director, actors pick best actor) etc etc, if one of the most celebrated directors of our time is not allowed a position to vote, this is a travesty, not a celebration.

For me, the OSCARS nomination and voting process is ridiculous anyway.

Yeh, it's like watching a debate with 1 conservative against 5 liberals on MSNBC... yeh really political! The fact is, Michael Moore pushed his agenda and apparently pissed the wrong person off or maybe did something unspeakable and was removed, who knows, I'm just glad he is gone.
