I'm often intrigued by the symbology used by TPTB.
So tonight we are in a situation where the US administrations only real supporter for an attack on Syria is France (funny how things change! - freedom
fries anyone?) - clearly England has let the side down.
When Kerry announced the deathtoll for the chemical weapons attack - 1492 - aside from the sinking feeling at the loss of life, I was left
wondering... how did they come to such an exact death toll, and why does that number feel strange to me.
Then it clicked...
1429 AD
Apr 29th - Joan of Arc leads Orleans, France, to victory over English
May 7th - English siege of Orleans broken by Joan of Arc
May 8th - French troops under Joan of Arc rescues Orleans
Jun 11th - Hundred Years' War: The start of the Battle of Jargeau.
Jul 16th - Army entered Reims
Jul 16th - Joan of Arc leads French army in Battle of Orleans
Jul 17th - Dauphin crowned king of France
The year the French gave the English a kicking.
It may be acurate, and clearly people have been killed in a horrendous attack, but its an interesting number considering the current politics.
Strange how things turn out...
I'm Jude, and I'm new here and looking forward to some interesting dialogue!
