Humans, as far back as recored share one thing in common regardless of location, or the date they dwellled on earth, that is, the worship of a God or Goddess or both. With the purpose of bettering their lifes and searching for answers.

Many belief Aliens will bring answers due to their advanced technology, however could they be the same as us? Simply searching for who they are and where they come from? Could they bring more questions on our being than answers?

Thoughts?

They are already among us. They are not "aliens" more our family from other planets. When they will show themselves for the world to see many questions will be answered and some more questions will be born for ourselves to figure out. We are all here on this planet to learn certain lessons. Only then we will free ourselves from reincarnation

Personally, as an educated opinion, I'm fairly certain 'They' won't be coming at all; at least not any time soon.

Waiting on aliens to show up and give us all the answers is just shoe in replacement for the old coming, second coming, return of: the Messiah, The gods, etc.

It's yet another artifact of psychological childhood development where upon growing up, the biological parents lose their magical authority and magical wisdom. There's a psychological void and longing for another parent, an Omni-Parent that knows all, sees all, and represents all of everything unknown and unknowable.
This Psychological void gave rise to gods and religions.
Mankind, for whatever reason, wants a mommy and/or daddy to tell it what to do, or teach it things it don't know.

We thus have gods, or, increasingly so in modern times, the hope for Aliens.

The dust dead and bone dry and gone Summerians waited for the return of their gods. So too the Mayans. The Second coming of Christ is an all too familiar adoption from previous religions in the Christian Mythology extent to this day.

The gods of history have never returned as promised in all the old texts and stories of dead religions of cultures now long buried, crumbled to dust, and near forgotten.
Likelihood is they won't return any time soon, nor will any new 'gods'/Aliens or parents show up for introductions.

It's a nice thought, sure, but, we've a prodigious record of historical precedent where no saviors from the sky have ever come, regardless of any covenants, sacrifices, prayers, hopes or desires.

Should we ever discover aliens, it's more likely we'll detect traces of aliens in some far distant solar system in the next 50-100 years if we keep up our current endeavors in our searches for other Earth-like planets.
We'll likely see them, or traces of them, whatever they might be long before they ever discover us.
This is, of course, if there even is a "they".

Additionally, on discovering aliens, I'm fairly certain anything we discover will truly be quite alien; unlike anything imagined in the current UFO/Alien Mythology.

They are not coming at all. Theyve already been here, are here, and will continue to stay here.
