Obama phone, food stamps, 100 weeks of unemployment checks, welfare, SSI for life, what more could you ask for? Oh, to vote democrat every election?
The T-Party gets to fight back. fair is fair don't you think? Yup!
I have long said that reform in social services is necessary... not just to eliminate opportunists, but to also downsize the programs as all of them are bloated and irrationally run. Ever spend time in a DMV where the waiting room was overcrowded and of the 50 employees in plain sight only 2 or 3 appeared to be doing anything? That's what it's like in all government agencies that I've had dealings with.
But here's the other side of the coin and food for thought...
Eliminate all social programs and immediately the need for law enforcement and big government comes back because now there are 30 million people who do not have access to food. Those who are truly needy of help either get charity or die. The opportunists? Some go back to work, others turn to crime. Crime becomes an issue and instead of a nanny state feeding the hungry, you end up with a heavily armed police state that tries to protect the able bodied working from the able bodied crooks.
I say this knowing that the reply will be "I don't need police, I've got the Second Amendment"... but that leads us down the road already mentioned... the Mad Max one.
You mean one particular TEA party group. There are literally hundreds of different organic grassroots TEA party groups around the country.
ETA: From the brief research I've just done, apparently only a person who works for the government has access to this information. IE if this list is legitimate there is a strong implication that a government employee has violated the law by creating this list.

This is totally a new low. People on disability are often on it for reasons that are not apparent to those who don't know them. They also have a legal expectation of privacy, and already have to jump through a lot of hoops to get it.
Why is the tea party attacking the people on the lowest end of the spectrum? This is ridiculous. 16*700 = $11,200 a month that was being spent on helping disabled people survive.
What are they trying to accomplish? Destroying their lives to get that money back? Disability payments are probably one of the most cost-efficient programs. What is this money going to go to next?

Someone needs to look into the Tea Party people doing this and post stuff about them. Who they contribute to, credit history, police records, etc. Unfortunately, this kind of information is not cheap but, could prove problematic for the posters...

What proof is on that letter?
Other than a 'discerning' Liberal 'news' magazine that uses labels meant to be derogatory?
What proof?
Don't see a TPM header on it.
Don't see nothing on it proving authenticity.edit on 11-8-2013 by neo96 because: (no reason given)
