And what have you learned?

If you are bitter...perhaps nothing.

And dark reaches have sublime heights.

Where nothing really matters...really.

Welcome to the asylum.

No Jammy Dodgers either...darn...

Jammy Dodgers
When I was at school....about 45 years ago now! During each lunch break I'd be first in line at the school tuck shop. I could buy 12 jammy's for one shilling
In those days the jam was soft and squidged out the side when you bit into them. Nowadays its seems more like red paint

The 'bitter' remark was meant as humorous commentary in that the type of 'learning' referred to comes with the type of pain and loss of youth which can indeed bring bitterness which one then must continually work to keep at bay...

And I didn't say "nothing matters", but "none of what I've learned 'seems' to matter", meaning that I have not yet discovered any purpose where-in my hard won knowledge can prove it's worth...

Sorry, I suppose I should have mentioned my wryly macabre sense of humor

p.s. How do you get to the "sublime heights" if the "dark reaches" you were thrown into contain no means for climbing out? Got any rope?

There is no need for continuous work...just a little epiphany.

And it doesn't matter if all that you have learned doesn't matter.

It's purpose has been accomplished in the subtle changes wrought in you.

That's just the way it should be.

And those dark reaches and sublime heights are really in the same place.

No need for a rope.

Anyway what fool would give a little melancholic lost girl a rope?

I too have a wry sense of humour

I used to know lots of stuff but it was never hard won...I loved it.

Now I love not knowing anything about anything.
