Being British my loyalty is to my country and I pay high respect to those two guys whose loyalty was to their country.

Reminds me of the two Special forces guys who went to the aid of the helicopter downed in Mogadishu, Somalia....... I think their names were Chakar (?) and Gordon...... went to help others knowing it was a 'one way' ticket.....

How many of us (REALLY) could be that brave...??

The story reads like propaganda, start to finish.

Even if it is true, every single word, the NATO/coalition operation to overthrow Gaddafi was an illegal aggressive war. It went far beyond ordinary western (US) terrorism. I don't understand how anyone can promote or reconcile personal honor and integrity while serving a state that has *neither*.

I'm thinking that you have never served in a professional military, nor have been in a firefight (Other than MW3).

Aimed, controlled shots are more effective than spray and pray.

If you knew military history and specifically, the publicly known unit and battle history of the US Navy SEALs, you'd know this isn't propaganda at all. It's just being a SEAL. They don't give up. They don't panic and get stupid like 95% of people would in an unwinnable situation and they just keep shooting until they're killed or have accomplished their objective.

It's why MANY try for being one and a TINY % of the total who try ever make it. Read a book sometime about the selection course and just the basics they suggest for min. levels of fitness to even enter it. Those minimums made me hurt just to read.

In one specific example, by the way, a SINGLE Seal did about the same damage these two did...and then fell off a mountain before running and hiding for an extended period prior to being picked up by friendly forces. They even wrote a book about that one. "Sole Survivor" featured the life experience of former SEAL Marcus Luttrell and how he came out of 100+ to 1 odds alive and the only one to survive it. (That falling off the mountain is all that actually saved him..and he admits as much himself...He fought pretty well expecting that wasn't going to be survivable by that point. )

So..while people idolize idiots like Football and Baseball players because the can play a child's game for millions a year as grown men? I'll look to men like Mr Luttrell and those two brave men in Libya who just didn't stop fighting until their night was done. They are called role models, in my view. They're called heroes. Bad wars, bad causes, or not. That's irrelevant to individual valor.

Common SEAL verbage. "The only easy day was testerday."

They take the "kill or be killed" saying literally. That is the position that many times they often find themselves in. It does happen across the military as well, but when you are in a team, whether it be SEALs, Recon, SF, etc, etc. It means a bit more and it takes a root in your mind.

Eragerz will never understand that. Sometimes the greater good requires more of you than others.

Here you go, the reason why the seals can pull off such things...

Being a disabled Vet myself I agree on the bravery and the authenticity of the Navy SEAL teams - no dispute there. My argument is with the propagandistic nature of the OP (meaning the post itself) and the claim that 2 CIA men (SEALS or retired SEALS? - very confusing, perhaps intentionally so) took out a horde of raving Jihadists in the face of overwhelming odds, and dying in the process. Its just a croc - that's all.

I will concede though - if and when the remainder - or even just one - of their comrades in arms comes forth with the full story, and in so doing gives proof of the OP's claims. Its well established by now that there were at least 30 (dozens) of CIA boots on the ground that day.

The CIA leadership said last week that all of those men that were present are under NO restraint to testify to Congress or to anyone else in an official capacity.

As an American citizen, and as a disabled veteran, I personally have many questions I would like to see answered! What were all those men doing during the alleged firefight between the 2 men and the large group of terrorists? How many rounds were fired at the enemy? How many terrorists were really there? How did they get out? What did they do to save their fallen comrades? Did they do anything to save the Ambassador and his men? Did they do anything to save their comrades? and on and on. I would like to see at least one guy come forward.

Why are they not coming forward then? Are they afraid? According to you and many others here in the thread they are brave men - every one of them. So what gives?

By they way.........as for the remark that I presumably hate Christians? Well - inasmuch as I am an observantly devout Catholic lets just say that I don't have much room on my theological workbench for the heresy(s) of Protestantism with its adherence to the false doctrine of "Christian Zionism" -so-called- if that's what you mean by "Christian" i.e. - ..............................does it really show?

I really have no idea what pressures and threats the CIA and State people who haven't come forward are under right now. Many, I believe, are still in service and so just farting a little loudly in a superiors office can screw a career track if it's the wrong guy on the wrong day. It doesn't take bamboo shoots under fingernails to get them to stay as silent as a church mouse.

Testimony given under oath by those who HAVE come forward removes any remote question in my mind that pressure does exist and it's extreme in some cases. That's just what we know...by sworn statement. Those working at CIA are right in the middle of those who make the disappearances happen for people this Government doesn't deem worthy of remaining among the living. You figure they need it spelled out? lol.... I'm not at all surprised we don't hear them.

I'll also note a MAJOR thing here. The director of CIA was canned like tuna and so were the top Military commanders for responsibilities over Libya AND surrounding areas immediately following and within a month or two of this event. Oh,... lots of song and dance about "they were going anyway!" ...Uh, right. Like Hillary had planned to just quit under a big black cloud of disgrace and dead men. I rather doubt it.

Congress CAN grant immunity from prosecution to a person who testifies. They cannot grant immortality ..and again, these folks we want to hear from don't JUST work for the agency that does those nasty things..they're likely among the men who HAVE DONE them, personally. After all..these are field officers we'd be wanting to see, right?

Whenever I hear about AMERICAN heroes... I always question who exactly did they have invade their country and they fought and fell?

OH YOU MEAN THE INVASION of another country and they fell whilst getting attacked by the people who wanted to protect their families and their homes...

For those in charge to admit ANY of this, would mean that they themselves should be held responsible for their deaths. Somehow I dont believe Hillary would even consider a Presidential run, if she knew the story will come out. We will have to wait till 2016 for maybe a hint about it.

Whats sad is we actually have to wait till someone spills the beans, as to get a full picture, and the only reason it will happen is because someone will try to sabotage her Presidential bid, if shes considered running.

That's the saddest part.
