Europa Report

Just watched this little fillum.



Been looking forward to it for a while as Europa has been one of my favourite topics since my degree.

I really enjoyed it. I won't say too much as I don't like to spoil but it's basically about a mission to find evidence of life on Europa in the theorized oceans under the surface ice.

I watched it in high def and it really is very well done. Much of it is set on the space craft and has a very tense, claustrophobic feel. A very simple script and no a list actors but very adequately done by all. I liked Katya, the Russian marine biologist and also the fella that played the ice truck killer in Dexter.

Anyway, it wasn't over the top like many Scifi movies and bla bla bla etc.... I'm nay gonna spoil.....

Watch it.

I see that Sharlto Copley, from District 9, is in it.
He's amazing IMHO.

I saw it about a month ago and I was a little disappointed. The plot is too predictable Yes, it is a good movie but only average good. The set-up of the movie is is too much like the movie Alien but there are no exciting plot twists as-in the movie, Alien.

Where are you guys seeing the movie?
Is it available online?

I saw this one too! It was good, better than I expected, but I thought they could have done more with the 'villain' - maybe make it more fantastic.

It also has Sharlto Copely in it. He's the project leader named Van de Merwe, who turns into a 'prawn' in the movie 'District 9'.

I have yet to see it but I absolutely love movies like this, even if the writer/director originally wanted to scare people away from the idea of actually accomplishing a very risky manned mission to Europa. Regardless, the trailer is great too. =)

I have this film set aside to watch, been meaning to get to it for a few weeks, love the premise.
