That would be good. A break from #12 and that gawd awful Clara.
Seriously can't stand #12. He's mean. And Clara gets on my last nerve.

The new Doctor is always weird to me. Every reboot version takes me some time to get used to. For whatever reason when I watch the episodes the follow up time the Doctor becomes normal feeling. I agree the 12th is a grumpy old fart but when I was done re-watching the current episodes, I actually felt he makes a great Doctor. He is such a change in demeanor from the prior two especially.

I think they're trying to make him more scientific. More cold and analyzing. Even the Tardis interior looks more "researchy" than prior versions, what with the books and chalk boards. It feels like they are trying to go a more cerebral route and after watching it a second go, I really do like this route.

The grumpiness of the present Doctor is nothing on the grumpiness of William Hartnell.
Having got used to Hartnell, I never could come to terms with his successor. He just wasn't the real thing.
A little unapproachability is a good reminder that the Doctor isn't human.
